I think some women are very attractive. Attracted to them as in wanting to be in a relationship with them? No.

i had a friend once that said he had a man crush on tony romo, and i never understood what that meant. i myself see some men as good looking, but i could never be anything more than friends with them. but with the friend i was talking about, it was more of a respect deal than anything else, so i have wondered if being gay was an extension of this, where it is a want to get what you like rather than a love or sex type thing.

Hey, if you can choose who you're attracted to, good for you. But, I can't. It isn't something to argue about, as I'm not going to change my mind.

I wish I could do that too. There have been girls into me that I was not that into but they were great friends. I wish I could have made myself attracted to them more.

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure gay people feel love and have sexual desires just like anyone else.

I'm not trying to change your mind. One day you will find a woman so appealing that you will choose to sleep with her even if only for a one night stand. Then you will think back to this conversation and be like, wow Don was right. bigsmile

I've had some friends like that. I just wasn't attracted to them in a way where I would date them. It happens. It's nothing that can be forced.

i can believe that about gay women, i've seen the love between two women before, and they very rarely cheat on each other from what i've seen, but i really doubt it with men. 95% of the gay men i know are just sex hounds, thinking they have a relationship and cheating every chance they get.

why should they have to choose someone they are not attracted to?

That is just stupidity.

If a heterosexual is attracted to someone, they go for it but they think gays should have to "think" and reject that urgeslaphead

It goes with both genders in both types of relationships. Hetero men say they love dearly those that they cheat on. So no difference there.

I disagree.

Men have been lead to believe their p;enis leads them around and they can then act like animals but it isn't true because when a man wants to control it, he can. It is just a taught behavior that has allowed men the freedom to be uncouth all this time.

lol, you have a unique way of seeing things that aren't there... even if i had an urge to cheat, i couldn't because i don't date... i don't enjoy sex unless i'm in love, and if i'm in love, there is no need to cheat...

Well, you did say men are men and most cannot control themselves. So, I was wondering if you put yourself into that category.

I don't think most men are like that, though. Some are, just as some women are, no matter their sexual preference.

Yeah, I like the excuse they give when busted for it--

"You know she didn't mean anything to me...."

Sound a little like what some posters are saying about the promiscuity of gay male relationships?

But hey, the gay guys had a choice, the hetero guys were on autopilot.

I think its the opposite. The urge to cheat is not a choice but the action of cheating is. You can be gay and still be attracted to women. Some are some are not.

If a heterosexual is attracted to someone, they go for it but they think gays should have to "think" and reject that urgeslaphead

not entirely true, whatever 'preference' one has, they can and do choose whether to 'go for it'

if a hetero is 'attracted' to someone that they find out is married, they may decide not to 'go for it'

if a hetero is 'attracted' to someone they later find is a sibling, they may decide not to 'go for it'

heck, if a hetero is 'attracted' to someone of the opposite sex that they later find out to be of the same sex,, they may not go for it (see, 'something about miriam')... our initial physical reaction to people is not the only way 'attraction' happens,,,or is maintained

so it is a choice, however difficult of one it might be
to resist temptations and to resist the philosophy that an initial(physical) attraction is all there is.....or even mandatory to ever possibly be 'attracted' to another,,,
