Hmmm ... I'll take a shot here. Call me what you will, but my answer is no. I have friends who are Muslim; I've even been a Big Sister to a lovely Shiite Muslim girl. I hang out with them; two are my neighbors and we get along wonderfully.

But dating? No. Unless you are a serial dater, dating kind of implies that there might be the possibility of another date and subsequently a relationship, yes? So I would just keep it at friendship because our religious beliefs are too different - of some precepts, opposing each other.

Yes, I realize that some Muslim men are very liberal with their wives, but it's still not for me.

I think it is significant to determine how 'extremist' their faith is,,,there are moderates in every religion as well as extremists

Easy, no. Our religions conflict with each other, they wouldn't date me either. That wouldn't stop me from being their friend though. In fact, I did have an islamic friend in high school.

I think we are all after the same things, we just have different ideas on which path to take to reach them.

As with any woman I date, it depends upon the woman. There are different types of people within every religion, ethnicity, and race. I have no problem dating someone from any of these. It's simply a matter of finding the right one that meshes with me to create a we.

It would depend on the type of Islam he believed and he would have to accept me the way I am.
