can music someone listens to be a deal breaker for you?

Depends if it is pop...Pop and I'll probably kill you at some point in our relationship, anything else is manageable.

can music someone listens to be a deal breaker for you? how silly,,,lol by itself, music wouldnt be a deal breaker, so long as they are respectful of my preferences when they are in my company and dont play things that are bothersome to me around me,, they can listen to whatever they want,,, |

see the thing is very few women appreciate Fur Elise,Moonlight Sonata and Requiem. Those women might not be worth your time, I personally wouldn't care...Not very many people know about classical. |

Not to me ... I like all kinds of music.

I'd like to think it wouldn't be.
For years I'd shared music time with my boys and I pulled rank on them many, many times if I didn't like what I was hearing. So I'm kind of a snot about not listening to music I don't like. I guess the same music taste needs to go on the list now. |

can music someone listens to be a deal breaker for you? Well geez, if I can't allow someone their choice of music, I probably can't allow them their own thoughts, either. |

Depends on how rude they are with it.
Had a roomy who thought he was a gangsta rappa....I told him before he moved in...I told him an hour or two fine.....all damned night....no!!! Sure enough, 3a.m. and I awake to the house bumping along with Songs about how gangsta I am and how I slap de ho's....it was one of the reasons I kicked his a$$ out. Alomost as bad as Celine Dion and her crap. |

I enjoy a lot of music, but I allow anyone to listen to what they want, as long as they don't make me listen to it if I do not like the music.

Not at all. I am a musician and listen to everything.
Also nice Beethoven and Chopan references Bach is awesome too. |

Hey as long as they don't try to dictate what I listen to then why should I them.....Same with other things we differ in.. |

Generally not a problem. But, I do agree with Krupa about some of the gangsta stuff. A bit of it might be okay, but not that much of it.
I've picked up interesting musical tastes from friends and boyfriends over the years, and enjoy the variety. Mozart tends to be one of my fav's due to his heavy additions of the French Horn in his music. I have a CD of straight Horn solos which I adore. |

No! I don't think I've ever dated anybody who is as deeply involved in music as I am. It would be nice to be with somebody as obsessed as I am.....but it was never really a problem. I do have fun turning people on to new things though.... Plus.....I'm kinda' intuitive as to what people like musically.
There is music I absolutely cannot stand though.....like commercial country music or pedestrian pop music....boy bands.....things sung through auto-tune. Bad karaoke. American Idol type stuff just kills me. Bad aerobics music.... Anything that sounds like it came offa' Star Search..... I tend to dig a bit deeper than that. My fascination with be-bop jazz drove my ex crazy. I like classical music a lot and was surprised to find a lot of people hate it. There is a lot of music I choose to play when I'm alone...... |
