Want you to notice the sexually immoral. Homosexuality would fall into this category. It is immoral for again sex is for reproduction and the making of a family. Homosexuals can not do this, it is purely for the physical lust, which is then what classifies it as immoral. It does nothing positive for the world, the community, or the person. It is a physical desire, lust. So don't tell me Jesus never taught against homosexuality.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NIV, 1st Corinthians 6:9-11)

I guess if you've made up your mind to use Jesus to spread hated and bigotry throughout the world then that's what you're going to do.

Take a seat beside Pat Robertson and let him run the Jesus marionette hate-doll for a while. ohwell

No one's spreading hatred lol. Where do you get anyone's doing that? Is it a hateful thing to tell someone of their wrong doings? No one's being persecuted for anything, no one's being segregated and made a fool for any actions one may take. Only enlightenment on one's errors. Would you rather someone reach out a loving hand and show you, your error? Or would you rather them just leave you be and possibly missing out on the greatest thing that may ever happen to you?

looks to me jesus had no problem with homosexuals and has broken the kosher laws,just sayinsmokin

Also note that according to GOD homosexuality is an abomination

yeah, so is eating shell fish (according to the scriptures) pretty sure alot of the haters are eating shrimp, crab, clams, lobster...etc.
hard to hate the fish, but people..yeah that's EZ!!

Romans 14:1-23

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ...

Leviticus 11:9

“These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.

Leviticus and Deuteronomy both have scriptures speaking of NOT eating pork and shellfish as it is an abomination...

selective scripture thumping
go figure

No selective thumping or anything. Leviticus and Deuteronomy are of the old covenant which was fulfilled, completed, finished, holds no more power over us.

But but but...you just quoted Leviticus.
So, that one scripture DOES still apply,
the others have been fulfilled..

hmmmmm
so typical of how the scriptures are used

Galatians 5:16

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Sex outside of reproduction would be lust, physical desire. Yes, it's "love making". But there are many ways to show your love for your spouse outside of sex.

Galatians 5:19-20
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

How convenient that you didn't include the context. Are you sure you aren't an atheist? Galatians 5:19-20 lists the acts of the flesh, sex inside of marriage is none of those things. Where did you get this crazy idea that God wants us to only have sex to reproduce?

How is sex inside of marriage none of that? So married couples can't get drunk and have sex while drunken? Married couples can't do many sexual immoralities with one another? How does marriage automatically make sexual actions moral? The verses aren't specifically directed at unmarried couples, just gives us the laws on a general note for all. So please explain how these laws only apply to unmarried people, especially since unmarried people aren't to have sex in the first place.

Don't have to. The scriptures tell us what sex is for and the scriptures only teach of sex for reproduction. And speaks of sexual immorality, lust, ect being sinful and against God's will. Sex outside of reproduction would fall into the lust category, lusting after the flesh and appeasing the fleshly desires.

You don't have scriptures, so you don't have any biblical footing. There was a law in Israel that allowed a wife to divorce her husband IF HE WASN'T HAVING SEX WITH HER. Your puritanical beliefs are not supported by the Bible and never were.

1 Corinthians 7:1-5
Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

We are meant to enjoy sex as a married couple. Keep your personal hangups to yourself.

not true... most religious couples only have sex for procreation, not physical enjoyment... hasdic jews still put sheets between them when they have sex, to cut down the enjoyment from it...

How sad for them ,,,,

Truly.

These ignorant religious superstitions are truly SICK.

They are the cause of sexual dysfunctions and sexual hang-ups.

Medical doctors as well as psychologist today have realized that a healthy sex life is actually HEALTHY for the entire emotions and physical well-being of the entire body!

They even claim that this is true of masturbation. It's good for the body to cleans itself of built-up sexual emotions and chemicals.

Having orgasms is GOOD for brain chemistry! It actually helps to ward off depression, and it lifts the 'spirit' of well-being.

~~~~~~~
What kind of an insane God would create something so HEALTHY as sexual orgasm and then act like it's a SIN to enjoy it?
This has to be the most asinine religion ever invented by mankind.
This is nothing short of pure sickness brought about by people's belief in totally unwarranted and unrealistic superstitions.
I can't believe people are still supporting this nonsense in the 21st century.
It's nothing short of utterly ABSURD.
These religious superstitions are so unhealthy in so many ways. Physically, emotional, and they even have people passing hateful judgments on other people in the name of this "God".
What will it take to get these people to WAKE UP from these ancient sick superstitions?
How can the marriage bed be defiled? Read above! Through Fornication and adultery. Having sex with your spouse doesn't defile the marriage bed. You don't have a leg to stand on. Sex in marriage is clearly not a sin. It's not an act of the flesh, it's an act of love and affection.
Q-8: Do Hasidim really have sex through a hole in a sheet?
-13: NO! According to urban legend, this silly rumor got started in the ghettos of Europe, where some people saw the four-cornered garments with fringes (which do have a hole in the middle for the head) hanging on the wash line. They didn't know what they were for, so their imaginations took over...
Hasidism -- and Judaism in general -- regards sex as a natural and beautiful thing, so long as it remains between spouses in privacy. The fact that Hasidim tend to have a lot of children should tell you that we have nothing against sex! We do, however, object to seeing intimate moments and bare bodies in movies and billboards, because we feel it cheapens something that is sacred and private.
I suppose this is also the place to dispel the urban legend about how Hasidim supposedly display the bloody sheets on the morning after the wedding night to prove the bride was a virgin. No, we don't do that one, either. There was a scene spoofing this in the movie Yentl but, as I explained in Part 1, Question 9 of this FAQ, "Yentl" is a comedy, not a documentary -- and like most comedies, it's full of absurd cliches.
An in-depth discussion discussion of the "hole in the sheet" urban legend can be found on the Snopes.com site (debunking urban legends) at http://www.snopes.com/religion/sheet.htm.
Please don't make these discussions personal and or attack the other. We're just having a discussion, not a debate or anything of such. But through this particular discussion I have learned something. Seems sex within marriage is never sinful with the two partners alone. Yes things of orgies and or anything of such would still nevertheless be sinful for it would involve other parties besides the married. But it seems that you are right, sex within marriage is allowed even if not for reproduction. Thank you. This is why I discuss here, not just to possibly teach, but it gives me reason to research specific things and learn myself. As there is no more twaining, they are as one flesh. Seems as long as it's "love making" it is allowed. The sex for just purely physical pleasure would still nevertheless be sinful as it is lust, but love making and enjoying each other physically and emotionally at the same time seems to be allowed. Not saying it is or isn't, but it sure seems that way. I'll have to do some more reading and see what I find, I hate being on the unsure side lol.
They aren't and they don't any more than any other group of people.
They don't have sex through sheets.
They are required by the Torah to be completely naked when they have sex, so that nothing comes between the husband and the wife.
I don't have any sexual hangups (other than my attraction to women wearing French maid outfits without undergarments, but that's a story for another time) and Christianity and Judaism don't teach any.
Well shouldn't that end all discussion right there?
Even the people who claim to be "Christians" can't even agree with each other on what this God supposedly wants and expects from people?
I've been saying that for years. We have Judaism, Islam, Catholicism, and a myriad of opposing sects of protesting Protestant, all wanting to claim that only they hold the true understanding of these ancient writings.
It should be crystal clear to everyone by now that NOBODY agrees on what those ancient fables had to say.
Now you've lost me...I know you aren't talking about Wicca, because that's like 60 years old. You couldn't be talking about European Paganism, because that's no older than Wicca. Wicca, European Paganism and Eastern Mysticism don't claim to have the verbatim word of any jealous judgmental Godhead.
None of those spiritual philosophies qualify as religions dogma.
So you won't hear any of those people going around telling other people precisely what God expects from them based on some ancient scriptures that they claim to be the verbatim infallible "Word of God".
So those kinds of spiritual traditions really have nothing at all to do with these judgmental fables of gods who support male-chauvinism and can't forgive people until someone has been nailed to a pole to pay for their disobedience.
whoa
So yes Spider, those other religions are in a totally different class altogether. flowerforyou
