likewise does the idea that we must love everyone, come from a book

you stated that you are required to love your enemies...is this not from a book?

that was the context in which I was discussing love and its complexity and COMPARING it to mothering and its complexities

again love is not complex....you just wish to live the Fabio fantasy that it is.....watch me prove it to you

do you love Satan more than your children

I bet you say no

haaaa, I will let you rank love, I already explained there are too many different types to chart them on some 'more or less' scale

I love them DIFFERENTLY, because my love is REINFORCED Through a personal interaction and responsibility FOR THEM

what a rip off

but anyway lesson number 2 was not only for you but also for those that wish to challenge that "Christians are required to love their enemies stuff"....

simply ask a Christian to say or (type) that they love Satan and then sit back and watch how fast they become lawyers and plea the 5th

people just label themselves christians, cause they didnt pick hebrew or muslim or realism...hell they had to pick something i guess

I assume you are talking census vs. consensus.

I picked "nose". I like to be an individual. But I am afraid lots of other people picked it, too.

Bummer do you have to keep doing that Funches.

Yes i thought loving your enemies was right, but it just doesn not seem right to write I love Satan...
Well its easy to write it but not to write it and actually mean it, maybe its because you don't actually put him in a human place but in with demons, and like so I dont know if it would apply to that, as they are still your enemies so it really could be argued either way.

he would only have to pretend to be nice and I would believe him..

Christians were trying to make the point that they can love someone regardless of their behavior even their enemies ...wouldn't this apply to everyone and every entity...even the Pope was willing to embraced Aliens

as for the human factor..God and the Holy Spirit are not human but yet Christians have no problem shouting from the rooftops how much they Love them even when they were responsible for drowning practically everyone on the planet during The Great Flood....

and next we have Satan, an angel, supposedly the most beautiful and prized above all the other angels that gave Man the desire to seek knowledge and the desire of lust, and has never killed at the magnitude that God has killed or commanded to be killed but yet Christians find it impossible to say they love Satan

when Christians get to pick and choose which enemies they get to love renders the term "love thy enemy" as being hypocritical

when Jesus return swinging the sword of righteousness....is that also Loving thy enemies ...Jesus will love and kill at the same time

with Love such as this...who needs Hannibal Lecter

Christian love is some scary business. I am not sure that I would want Christians loving me at any level or type for that matter.

They love you and wish hell on you at the same time.surprised

They pray for you and scold you for your non Christian life in the same breath.

Their love has so many "conditions" that the feeling of love is hard to feel.

And it has been so accepted in this country that people actually believe it is love they are sharing..slaphead I think the participants of the religion believe it is love too.slaphead

On the surface it is the lure of some loving concept but after that first layer peels back, look out, fear, guilt and hypocrisy is the name of the game.

i can honestly say when a christian ask me if i'm one and i tell them i'm an atheist, after saying ok 5 times in a row they become speechless, but yet i can go on carrying a conversation but they seem to not talk as much or give me the cold shoulder.it's almost as if they expect everyone to be a christian or in some deity drivin cult.

Who wishes hell on anyone?

Luke 6:37 (King James Version)

37Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

We do not wish hell on anyone, that is quite possibly the reasoning of us informing someone of the knowledge we possess of God.

They pray for you and scold you for your non Christian life in the same breath.

Again, no scolding. Merely informing you of the mistakes one sees lending a helping hand.
