Why is it so difficult to meet someone normal,fun and REAL? Why is it that a lot of people on this site or anysite for that matter say they are a good hearted person and want to meet someone good hearted and yet fail to even talk? Why is it everyone so ill mannerred? Why is it that people say something and do something?

Am i the only one going nuts over here ? or is it that HOUSTON we really have a problem.

What would life be like if everyone was so perfect? It seems that many say one thing and do another guess that is life. We just have to weed out the bad ones to find the few half perfect ones.....

Unfortunately, you will encounter flakes everywhere, not just online. Get rid of the whiny attitude and you'll have some better luck. Being negative right off the bat is going to deter people from contacting you.

If they aren't flaky then they are overly eager! I have been here since last September and have made many friends. IMO the quality of people is much better here and you can chat in the forums and get a feel for how sane a person is prior to meeting them.

Good for those that can look at a few pics and words to make a decision on letting someone into their life, but I am not one of those! It's way to hard to get rid of them when you figure out you didn't get what you bargained for. It takes time to find someone decent in the sea of weirdos, don't rush it so you won't regret it.

I agree with TexasGal. You need to blend in, you need to mingle, go out, show up, pick up the customs of the medium and subculture of the medium (of dating sites on the Internet -- not this one, but places like PoF.)

What does that mean. It means that if you feel there are not enough people who are honest, and you feel dishonesty is especially hurtful when they say they are nice... then simply try to become like them. AROUND THEM, not in your own values. You values are yours, nobody has any right to change them or even to learn what they are.

But if you are surrounded by nasty people who are liars on top of that, then the only way you can get along with them is to behave like them- become in your behaviour (but not in your heart) a back-stabbing, lying, cruel and vicious little cancerous cell in sheeps' clothing.

That site seems more geared towards finding sex while this one, at least here in the forums, is mainly about connecting with others and building friendships!

I am in Aggieland getting a degree in genetics at A&M! I hear ya on the being busy and excited about life & not wanting to rush into anything. I have talked with a couple guys from that site, but decided it was not in my best interested to meet them in person.
