We are not (less) worried due to our own problem rather worried seeing others happy.
Do you feel like this?
What steps you take to curb it?

I think we worry about keeping up with the status quo, what it means on how we are perceived if we dont

I think we worry about everyone being held to the same standards

and we worry about right and wrong

I think many simply equate whats right with what makes people happy
I think many see right and wrong and life as more than simply achieving personal happiness,,,

No. I have no way of knowing whether others are happy or not, and it's really none of my business. Personal experience has taught me that people who LOOK happy aren't necessarily happy at all, anyway.

I don't think it makes any sense to compare my problems, per se, with anybody else's. I don't know theirs. So it's all speculation at that point, and why bother?

You have the right to remain happy.
If you give up the right to remain happy
Then by all means you can remain crappy.
Yeah, I know this poem is rather sappy.

I don't worry if others are happy I can not make them happy they have to do that themselves.....

I may worry how I effect others but that is something I can change.

Actually worrying is not something I let bother me.

I pretty much let things go why worrying about something you have no control over?whoa

I know many people who are otherwise very smart but seeing progress of their known persons become worried and put all efforts to hamper the progress. This is most probably jealousy. I think the +ve way of thinking would be to divert the 'jealousy' to motive factor for our self improvement.smokin

I'm not sure I do either but what I think he's saying is "people are not so worried about their own unhappiness as they are worrying about others being happy" i.e. jealous of other people being happy...

IF that is the translation... I am in no way jealous of others being happy and I do not consider myself unhappy.. We all have to work through things in our lives and we never really know what others are dealing with.. Those people that look so happy could be hiding that they're very unhappy due to health reason, money, family, relationships, etc. It's better to not judge or assume you know what is really going on with anyone.. Instead worry about YOU and judge/deal with your own life.. Don't begrudge anyone else their happiness, everyone deserves happiness even if we ourselves don't have it...

Yes, yes, I often worry if happiness is too much disseminated in the world these days. That would be a bad thing, using up all carbohydrate-based and fossil happiness on earth, leaving none for our descendants` generations to come.

I share the OPs worry whether we are leaving too large a happiness-footprint behind ourselves as we trample, tread, and thrush on toward our graves.

Well I hope my enemies are worried when they see me happy. tongue2

If I had any enemies. smile2

Seriously, here is my advice.

Seek your own joy. Don't worry or be jealous about anyone else's.

REACH FOR JOY.

I understand. I try not to let anything worry me, but when something does, then usually it means it's something important or worth worrying about.

I don't worry about others being happy nor do I worry about my own happiness. I enjoy each day that comes my way. To me, hard work pays off in the end. :)

Jealousy, this is quite natural and its effect is generally '-ve'. Instead of controlling jealousy, I think we should try to convert its '-ve' effect to '+ve' one.explode

"I'm still breathing"

That's all I worry about and thank God every day I can say that...
