Can you really trust anybody? Trust as in, you can count on them when you need them?? Or, as in when we share our thoughts and feelings, that person won't tell someone else?? |

Trust those who are trustworthy.
Keep your friends close. Forgive your enemies, but always remember their names. |

I believe most of what people tell me, but i dont truly trust people.
There is only 1 person who i can trust completely, who I would never doubt, he has shown me that he is true to his word over and over, I see it in everything he does, Trust is something that has to be earned and once lost can never be regained so guard it as it is truly precious to be able to trust someone. |

I don't understand how people get through life without being able to trust anyone.

I don't understand how people get through life without being able to trust anyone. It's simple. I just think about how much better my life would have been had I never trusted anyone in the first place. It's just "preventative medicine." |

I can see being careful about who you trust. But I need to be able to trust some people in my life. I can't go through life being paranoid, thinking everyone is out to get me.

Can you really trust anybody? yes, it takes some time tho, and there are levels of trust. so to trust someone completely means to trust at a level that most won't reach in your weird little inner world and I agree with buttons - at that level - complete trust it will be few & far between on a day to day basis I usually start out trusting until something happens that causes me to doubt. I've been wrong, I've been surprised (both good & bad)- I trust my instincts so I am little more cautious than I have to be prolly |

I don't understand how people get through life without being able to trust anyone. It's simple. I just think about how much better my life would have been had I never trusted anyone in the first place. It's just "preventative medicine." Hmm. Sounds oversimplified to me. How bout learning to trust the right persons instead of no one. I suppose that's fine, in theory. But I've never run across a "right person." Everyone I ever trusted -- and I was pretty naive in my younger days -- turned out to be a mistake. You learn from your mistakes, right? If I stuck my hand in an alligator's mouth enough times, I'd eventually figure out that this was not a smart thing to do. |

I can see being careful about who you trust. But I need to be able to trust some people in my life. I can't go through life being paranoid, thinking everyone is out to get me. I don't think I'm paranoid, and I certainly don't think anyone is out to get me. They're just not people I can trust. It has more to do with practicality and my own personal experience than anything else. |

So, you just can't trust anyone? Friends? Family? No one? I find that hard to believe.
