1)It has no place or value within the Poetry Forum whatsoever.If some inherently stupid individual attacks a Poet in there we will report him or her immediately.This would rob the Poet of his expression and seriously hinder his or her integrity to the reader,thus slaying the Poet with his own instrument.I am 1000% against this & furthermore the forum would lose serious writers including myself which in turn would cost everyone.A seriously bad proposal & I implore U to reconsider it.PLEASE!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2)A In regards to the other forums,I absolutely agree that this is needed however there are inherently stupid individuals using it as a game,someone they don't like personally,personality clashes,ridiculous & unfounded reasons etc.It is being horrendously abused so it will require serious tweaking to fine tune it so it may serve it's primary purpose. Subperb idea though in general however it requires some refurbishment. Godspeed!Cybear;=) |
Hey mike,
making everyone a moderator is a pretty good plan. There is another site that shall go nameless that has only a few selected people as moderators and well, unfortuantely, they take advantage of their umm "title" and abuse it. I'm actually quite impressed at this. well done. |
i don't have a roblem with the concept
i have a problem with those that abuse it and chase off new members delte a thred of someone with 2 posts that starts an introducing her self thread for being redundant or again as mentioned above poetry the moderation is good but the moderators need to be checked and held accountable for their actions as is mentioned in the way it is to work i have had several new people that were nearly deleted e-mail me asking questions one was tonite i think here intro was at 5/8 when i seen it well as you can prob guess i was #4 to keep is there so much insecurity here that you need to chase off new people so they can not impose on some one you may be interested in i thought we were adults here |
I hate to state the obvious here, but do people realize they do not have to push any buttons when a topic is introduced? Read the thread and either respond or exit out. I agree some really weird reasons are being given for deleting topics, i.e. it is offensive to other members when all it is is an introduction of a new member.
at 25 or less post i feel when deltion is reached it should send a notice to mike or van to check it out
and they should have to delete it i have had a few new people ask me whats up and say f this place it is like they are afraid the new person will ruin there chances or something |
There is no way that poetry should be moderated.
have a question...why are some topics slated for a vote on "deletion" upon intitial postings....and others are not?
Just curious...is there some standard along the lines of tenure? or is just a glitch? |
I used to spend time in all the forums.But now spend all my time in the poem forum,where everyone fells free to speak what they feel.Whether it be love,frienship,being alone or erotic.It all comes from deep within your heart.I myself just leave ifI don't like a topic.Iv'e looked at the sex forum,and some of the topics my mouth dropped,dut no one deleted them.New people trying to get involved and being deleted.Maybe more should come to the poem forum and read some of the truly kind,loving words,some of these talented people offer.
