I have no idea, and I thought I knew something about TV! so here is an easier one,(probably been asked, but oh well) what was Gilligans first name?

Fri 08/10/07 03:57 PM
Wanting1forlife: Gilligan never had a 1st name during the series, but later interviews with creator Sherwood Schartz revealed that he would have given Gilligan the 1st name "Willie".

Maybe my earlier question was a bit confusing. I'll go ahead and give the answers.

1-Boss Hogg and Roscoe made a special appearance on an episode of the sitcom "Alice". For some reason that escapes me, Boss wanted to buy Mel's Diner.

2-Gilligan, Mary Ann, and the Professor made an appearance on an episode of the sitcom "ALF". ALF dreamed he was stranded on the island.

3-Mrs. Cleaver, Faceman, Arnold, and the Hulk all appeared in (my opinion) the best episode of the series "Amazing Stories", Steven Speilberg's 80s anthology series. The episode starred Danny DeVito as a henpecked husband who recieved a "magic TV remote" and could bring TV characters out of the TV into his living room.

In all cases, the original actors played the characters.

Sorry if I made this sound confusing. I guess that's what's referred to as "outsmarting myself". I'll do better next time.

Oh, great, I came back, now everyone's gone.

You know, this forum is great for asking(and answering)TV trivia questions. But it can also be used for sharing TV trivia knowledge. If anyone has any TV Trivia facts they'd like to share, I'd enjoy hearing them. Here's a few:

1-On one of the Gilligan's Island DVDs(think it was the 2nd season one), in an interview with Russell Johnson(the Professor),he said that if the show had been renewed for a fourth season, creator Sherwood Schwartz was planning on adding two new castaways to the seven already on the island-a married black couple.

2-Anyone who watched the fifth(and final)season of the A-Team might have noticed the majority of screen time went to Murdoch,Faceman, and Frankie Santana(a new character). B.A. and Hannibal were pushed more into the background. In reality, George Peppard and Mr. T despised each other, and series creator Stephen J. Cannell said that if the show had been renewed for a sixth season, he was going to completely write those two characters out and add a female team member.

3-The cast of Lost In Space didn't find out their show was cancelled until they read it in Hollywood trade papers.

There you go. Anyone else have any interesting TV trivia facts, feel free to post away!

I have a question if it's okay= what happened to "punky brewster"?

Sure it's OK. Soieli(sp)Moon Frye is still doing the occasional acting job. Trivial fact: In her late teens, Frye had breast REDUCTION surgery, because her boobs were way too big for her small frame, giving her back problems. I think a lot of women would kill for that problem(LOL).

The Fugitive comes out on DVD Tuesday!!!!

Good News: About time one of the 10 greatest Tv shows of all-time is released on DVD.

Bad News: It's only the first half of season one. That's why I never bought any of the Lost In Space DVDs.

New Question, just an opinion one:

What TV show, not yet released on DVD, would you like to see on DVD? My answer: Get Smart, with the Equalizer a close second.

Unless Soleil made a guest appearance on Sabrina, no. She wasn't a regular or semi-regular.

Have no idea about the Fox series. but like I said earlier, I really wish the Equalizer and Get Smart would come out on DVD.

Anybody got a trivia question tonight?

BabyDoll,

you are right about Soleil being on Sabrina, she played Sabrina's roommate in college, named Roxie King. She was on from 2000-2003.

Lance was in a movie for tv called The Last Cowboy

I have not read the whole thread so hope this is not a repeat.
Does anyone remember, "All in the Family".
I have two questions

This show broke ground for what noise first heard on a TV show?

This show also helped to create 3 spin-offs. Can you name them?

Good luck.

Hi Sassyflowerforyou

Knox is back, trying to redeem himself fer his earlier embarassed .

Here Goes.

1-The sound was that of a toilet flushing.

2-Maude, The Jeffersons, and Archie Bunker's Place.

Befoer anyone writes, saying what about Good Times, Good Times was actually a spin-off of Maude(Florida Evans was Maude's housekeeper).
