You know... I bought the whole series, and now I watch an episode a night, in bed.

It is the first show produced on North American soil, first comedy, that I enjoy watching and don't get sick of.

Seinfeld was very funny, but if you watched it three days in a row, you felt this uneasy squeeziness. Same with Sex In The City. I can still watch Sein, but not SITC.

However, this SoPa... it helps me to cry myself to sleep with laughter every night. The one ... hahahaha, the one that breaks me up even just thinking about ... hahahahahhahaha, is the one the Sexual Harassment Panda... that is the stupidest thing I've ever seen and believe me, I have seen quite a number of stupid things in my life.

Okay, I know this is totally not the place, but here goes.

If you have broadband internet, you should own a digital media player. If you don't have one, Roku (google it) only costs $60.

Then you get a subscription to Netflix for $8 / month. Get a subscription to Hulu Plus for $7.50 / month. Way cheaper than buying DVDs and there is tons of good stuff on there. Like almost every season of South Park.

Shallow? I think that is relative. What one may consider shallow, another may consider a basic requirement. I think though that you should try and spare the other person's feelings. I'm not saying to lie, but sometimes you need to be creative or put a positive spin on things.

my honest opinion is everyone is shallow in their own way. to decide what you look for in a partner and only go for that is shallow cause your not giving a person a chance for pety reasons. For example one of my fav movies shallow hal(not sure on spelling)is a perfect example of how all humans are shallow.

Nothing "shallow" about preferances. We all have them, differances is what make the world go around.

shallow-

A term that is massively overused. It usually means a man/woman who only judges by looks and not by personality.

Many ugly girls consider guys shallow just because they get turned down by them and vice versa. A lot of ugly guys think girls are shallow because they get turned down. But neither of these are true.

The true example of shallow is when a guy/girl base someone's personality on how they look. If you're confused read below.
I was hanging out with my friend the other day who is quite a bit better looking than me (I'm not ugly, he's just hot I guess). So he and I are hanging out with this girl from school and I decide to test something.

Early that day I tell her a joke and she kind of laughs. So about 6 hours later, I have my friend tell her the exact same joke, word for word and she cracks up like it's the funniest thing she's ever heard.

Apparently the same exact joke was funnier when told by him, just because he's better looking. Avoid girls/guys like that at all cost.

I want to know what the OP would do if she found a guy that made her laugh, made her feel like she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and was able to take care of business if you know what I mean. And the guy was five foot flat.

Are you going to walk away from pure joy because he is shorter than you?

to add on a shorter definition

The act of judging people by their looks, monetary status, clothes or car, rather than looking deep inside at their heart, personality, etc.

I do have broadband... but I have a monthly quota over which I can't download. 10 Gig or something, and I share that with five other users here where I live.

How does that change the plan?

I bought five sets in my life, and then I discovered the Public Library system, where the DVDs are free for a seven-day rental.

I would still get this netflix stuff, but I am afraid of overstepping the download limit. Also, if you borrow it from Netflix, and record a movie, even if just for a day or two until you'll have finished watching it, would that not constitute a copyright violation for each recording?

I stay awake nights, worrying about things like this.

Chazter and Spider... I'm going to try to send you each a message here. Please don't erase it without first reading it... even though it's from a guy, it's not going to be a request of sexual favours.

(Such as please lend me your girlfriend's mothers for the weekend.)

I guess everybody could ber classes as Shallow as really we all have preferences that suit us.
I like a man who is gentl, others like a wild child or bad boy, does that make us shallow no its just our own preferences about who we wish to spend our lives with.
I like my man to have muscles and to make me laugh.
Sorry but I am probably shallow as well. It doesnt mean that I dont like men who do not have these things, they are just my preferences.

I would rather the man I am going to spend my life with, have the things that I desire.

Exactly. I say the best thing is we all embrace our shallowosity and just deal with it.

I know what I want, and I know what I don't want. All the cliches in the world aren't going to change that.

what does that mean?

This is how I took it:

His female partner is 4' 11" tall, and he is presumably closer to 'average height', so there is no issue of the societal expectations (internalized or otherwise) that the man be taller than the women causing any kind of discomfort in their relationship.
