changed my life!

Heck, I'll be the first to admit it. I was a late bloomer.

I first "really" got online in early Sept.'06. By Thanksgiving '06, I was on a plane to Europe and things have never been the same since!

It was really that fast. We in our L30s-40s are really spinnin Y'all.

From rotary phones to "this".

(no "question", just lookin for feedback)

I remember growing up having to share a phone line. You could pick up your phone to use it and the neighbor would be on it talking........smokin

I'm just hearing of the perils of shared phone lines.....even up to 1988

Not meaning this to be an "old folks" discussion, but "this old folk" felt a paradigm shift in the E2000s.

No?

I felt the paradigm shift in 2001.
I used to read at least 5 books a week, sometimes 15.
Not one since the shift.
The world is at your fingertips.
All the knowledge you never had access to,
right there now.
Ever fascinating.
The socialization aspect is widened dramatically.

You can even leave yourself a wake-up call
for your penis.

I was getting yelled at about using the Tandy in the eighties and that was when you had to write in MS dos codes to get where u were going.....

And yes I remember getting yelled at for tying up the phone lines talking to friends

I remember having to dial 5 digits to call my friends and memorizing the numbers

I remember when the hottest new gaming system was Atari and you were cool if you had one

I remember if you could ride your bike with no hands and put your feet on the handle bars u were way cool

Skating rinks were popular and where all the kids met on weekends, and if your parents threw you a bday party at the rink u were super way cool

It was 1970 sumthin in the world that I grew up in.........stretch armstrong was popular hula hoops and skate boards weren't what they are today

I think history is going to look back at us as a pioneer generation. Think about it, we are the first to really live in a global village, We are the first to truly question Gov/Doctors, the establishment. We are the firt to challenge gender, marriage, and changing society. For the 1st time in history Women make as much as men. And we are the 1st to be crawling around the Web. The 1st to be tackling online dating and we can live anywhere in the world and we are in record numbers. I dont think there any rules carved in stone, I think we are creating them as we go. flowerforyou
