Here's the skinny on the flat tax:

http://www.freedomworks.org/issues/flat-tax

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2005/07/a-brief-guide-to-the-flat-tax

http://www.hoover.org/publications/books/8329

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-flat-tax.htm

If people didn't have income tax withheld from their check that is more money in their pocket and if business didn't have to pay taxes on their employees the business could split the difference and keep half of what they would pay out in taxes and give the other half to the employee in the form of a raise. Its a win win situation.

largest portion who make up those in poverty;
children and old people.
they can't work.
i think there should be wayyy more money put into schools.
if you're born into poverty,
there are verrry little chances you're going to get out.
you go to a crappy school.
and you're exposed to stuff you that you shouldn't.
you don't get the same opportunities as the kid who grows up in the nice suburbs.
and whose parents have a college fund for.
if there's more money invested to help those in need,
this nation won't have such a high poverty rate.

If people are living in poverty they shouldn't be having kids. I think that is a form of child neglect.

The three things you can do to never enter poverty or bring yourself out of poverty.

1) Graduate High School
2) Don't have kids until you are married.
3) Don't get married until you are at least 21.

agreed.
but don't you think that those who are born into poverty have a ridiculously hard time achieving these things due to lack of good education.

I feel much better now about things. It is a glorious morning knowing Husseins and the democrats have been stopped, even though the dems still have the Senate they also still have the blue dog dems and a whole bunch of republicans to deal with.

So, when will we start seeing all the changes the Republicans have been talking about? When can we expect them to fix the country like they've been saying they will?

Depends on how many blue dog dems come over and what hussein does? my guess is this victory in the house just simply means husseins spending frenzy is over.

Especially with the Senate as close as they are now and all the blue dogs in there.

Obama is screwed.

Harry Reid just won in Arizona.

No ****? When did he move here from Nevada?

That was the compromise Nevada made, we would re-elect him but trade him to Arizona for McCain. laugh

One of the side effects of China's "one child" policy is that the people did not have to spend every cent raising children and could afford to focus on the one child. The child got a good education and is a main reason China has become the economic giant that it now is.

Multiple children in poverty breeds more poverty.
