3: a charge of lying


whereas I always ALWAYS thought of a lie as misinformation which is intentionally given

to me, people can be deceptive by not giving all information but they arent LYING if they havent SAID anything that was untrue

and then there is the stigma of the word 'lie'
if someone gives information they THINK is true but actually isnt the facts,, are they still LYING?

has many levels however. If it's maliciously done then its a problem. I think people can keep things to themselves without it being a problem, and don't need to necessarily unload their soul with an individual.

Msharmony, your'e comment about giving what they believe is truth only works once, IMO. I find people are way to lazy anymore, even with internet, to get off their arse and look into any info. If someone has given you (general you, not specific) info that contradicts, then it becomes your responsibility to look into it instead of spewing it out over and over. Snopes is everyone's friend!! I get so tired of the emails that come through that the people haven't bothered to even start there, and the story is totally and utterly fake.

yeah, I agree. Dont ask for the truth in an opinion if you dont want it,, but I personally choose to use constructive criticism(aknowledging something seen as negative from the perspective of how it can be improved) instead of just hurtful words,,,

A 100% correctly....as it's YOUR truth, unedited, uncut, and totally yours.

I'm a bit of a skeptic with the ole 'constructive criticism'....it's a soft sell version of lying.

I ask for a succint response..."Does my arse look big to you?"...

the answer is YES/No.....
