Ah but it is possible that many have misentrepreted this for is it not
said in Ezeikel that God will lay that land desolate.

Is it not also said in Isahia that he will make the land desolate so
that no man may live there nor any beast nor any growing thing but only
biars and thorns. (sounds like a nuclear weapon to me.)

Daniel 9:27
------------------------------------------------------------
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to
cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it
desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be
poured upon the desolate.
------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 24:15
------------------------------------------------------------
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:)
------------------------------------------------------------

Antiochus Epiphanies set the standard for what the abomination of
desolation would be when he sacrified to Jupiter in the Temple and then
declared himself a god. This all ties together, but not the way you are
thinking. The Anti-Christ will be worshipped, because he will declare
himself god and many people will accept that as the truth. Jerusalem
will exist for years after the abomination takes place, which would not
be true if it was destroyed with a nuclear bomb.

Daniel 9:26 (just before the one you quoted).

'.... the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city
and the sanctuary;'

In the paragraph before that Daniel identified the city as Jeruselem.

Um....no. I was just answering the questions. I'm not here to argue,
I'm a messenger. Message delivered, my job is done here.

Now I'm going to bed, my boss is back in town tomorrow and I have a lot
on my plate at work. AdventureBegins I hope this helped you in your
study of the word.

AdventureBegins,

Week 69 ended in 70 AD. Week 70 will begin with the "covenant with many
for one week". Week 70 hasn't started yet. Daniel 70 weeks is a very
complicated subject, I strongly suggest you look for someone with a very
strong grasp of the word to explain it to you.

Last post tonight, this time for sure!

Isahia 33:9

'And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust
thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning

Lots of earth movement as that area is on a point between two Techtonic
plates.

I understand it has earth quakes quite often. I do not know if there
are volcanos but it is possible.
