I got that six year old hard drive to work and found some pictures I lost. I was so happy.  That had to make your day eh?

The phone I got a few months back is so easy to use for pictures. I have downloaded hundreds. My laptop runs slow so I have been meaning to put the pictures on CD and then re-boot my system. This topic makes me think I should do it sooner than later now before something crashes and the photos are gone FOREVER.

That's why I still use film. Computers crash, cds get scratched, memory sticks only work when you use them. I don't want to leave my happy moments to the whims of a computer.  Hard Disks fail... Houses burn down... E-media or film, you're at risk of loosing them either way. But think of it this way: You can copy e-media inexpensively and give to your relatives or friends in case your copies go bad. Paper pictures are more expensive to copy and there's only one set of negatives. |

But think of it this way: You can copy e-media inexpensively and give to your relatives or friends in case your copies go bad. Paper pictures are more expensive to copy and there's only one set of negatives. Bottom line is .. in a fire it's all gone anyway, film or disk.

I lost all my kids baby pics and pics from high school events when I moved back to Ohio from AZ.. my stuff was stolen or sold off a moving truck... grrrrrr!

We have a friend who's house was ransacked - they took her laptop that had all their sweet 6 mos old baby's pictures on it. People like that will BURN

I am clueless why anyone would ask if another person panicked over losing a picture. Must have been a slow news day.

Ummmm It's called "community" .. we do all kinds of threads that talk about our lives and our thoughts. What matters to US. And it seems a # of people DO care. Cause I care. And they care that I care. Better than wasting time posting about whether I'd do the person above or below me (sex threads =) .. photos about those you love mean a lot to a lot of people. So ya .. I don't have that problem since all my pics were lost in a house fire. I'm so sorry .. like I said I have 2 friends who had the same thing happen.

Oh yeah,
Lost a couple thousand and about 30 videos of me and my swinger friends. Now they are trapped in the carcass of an old emachine that I sure as hell cant take in to have extracted. You never know who knows who. My dad used to get so mad at me as a kid when I would lick and suck the chemicals off of his Polaroid pictures, I just liked the way they tasted. (probably would explain some of my weirdness too) |

I email all of my pictures to myself and I put them in a folder. I, also, have them on FB and save them on disc. I know it's over kill
