I'm here to meet people and chat. I was told this is a good site to do just that, so thought I'd give it a go. I have no intention of dating anyone right now. I don't understand those who have taken this as an insult...or as a challenge. It's neither, it just is what it is. I'm living in Chicago temporarily, which means I will leave at the end of my contract. I have no intention of staying in Chicago, so the last thing I want to do is date someone I will have to desert. I spend most of my time working and my free time reading. I like to walk and swim and am into genealogy. I'm German, English and Irish by descent, but speak English, Spanish and French. I know...I'm confused about this too. I’m into healthy living, because I deserve it. I exercise and eat real food, which may shock some to learn is rarely found in a can, box or bag. This alone will estrange me from most readers… and yet there’s more. I live quite a different lifestyle than mainstream America; I chose quiet over TV, walking over driving, cooking over eating out, dialog over cursing, and most importantly, long term rewards over instant gratification. Call me old fashioned, but I don’t live and die by the almighty ringtone, so am only online when I’m not busy actually living my life. Since I do tend to get busy, you should know that I will come and go accordingly and make no apologies for it. If you get upset when someone takes a few days to reply to you, then I may not be a good contact for you.
