Me too!! Born and raised city. Can ride the subway blindfolded Now countrified. Quiet. Nice So I'm both!!! Some surprise! Same here. Except I was raised on the west coast. Can drive on a jammed 4 lane freeway with a coke in one hand a 'in'n out' burger in the other. Now in NW Florida away from it all. |

Although I live in the country(Which has it's strong points) I miss living in the city-to a degree so I guess I'm both.

I'm a suburban girl. I love living close enough to major cities to take advantage of the wide variety of things to do there but living far enough away that I don't have to deal with the traffic, noise and smells of the city on a regular basis.
I could never live in the deep country though - my brother used to live in the sticks in Georgia and he was 30 minutes to the nearest store. What if you forgot something and had to go back? lol And my mom used to live not to far from him and she had to drive 11 miles just to get to another road. I just couldn't deal with that. |

..,,green acres is the place to be..farm livin' is the life for me land spreadin' out so far and wide ..keep manhattan just give me that countryside.... |

Is there a difference ? I'm half and half. Love nature but country folk are tight knit so hard to integrate. Love the anonymity of the city. Country through and through!!! Big skies, wide open spaces, deep oceans, trees, birds, critters.... "Give me a home among the gum trees, with lots of plum trees, a sheep or two, and a kangaroo, a clothesline out the back, verandah out the front, ...and an old rocking chair!!!" John Williamson. Soulsuck, concrete hells, magik-less, soul-less places, those cities...no connection to the Earth... |

Perhaps just make a decision, create a plan, and arrive...I'm not going far, so the outside light is always on welcoming people home... and I have a giant house that is almost finished, so plenty of room....grab Kate and her chickadee, and come on over...methinks Joel (Beachfarmer) would be up for the roadtrip also... |

While spending some time in the country can be fun, I'd rather be closer to the city.

I'm a country girl stuck in the city............love the country and all the things that come along with it....... but I live in the city...
|
|

Cities and 'Burbs almost my entire life.
Then I moved to Michigan. Took a walk along an almost deserted beach......another trail back through the woods.....with fireflies.......skies so dark at night. |

Born and raised in the sticks, stuck in the city in order to have a job worth having... I'd rather be in the country, I think.

Boston, born & raised but I don't care too much for the city anymore, I like the " Burbs" it's far enough away from the city yet close to stores, activities etc, nice & quiet & almost no crime.
