Using a bible to verify the validity of the bible is ludicrous.

You must be confused.

He makes claims that he says "the Bible DEMANDS". The only way for him to support those claims would be to cite the verse(s) from the Bible.

This isn't about the validity of the Bible, it's about the accuracy of his words. The ONLY way he could prove his so-called demands would be to cite the source.

If you have a better way of accomplishing that task, I'm sure we'd all like to hear it...

This is why Christains are so totally unrealistic.

If I quote a mere verse or two, they scream "OUT OF CONTEXT!!!"

So instead I back-up and acknowled the WHOLE ENTIRE STORY, you can't any any more "contextual" than that.

Then they scream, "Quote a verse!" rofl

It's absurd.

The whole biblical story is a story of a loser God. It's a story of a God who tries to teach people moral values using violent methods and threats of punishments.

The story itself shows that this God's method of raising his chidlren didn't work. The story itself demands that this God had to drown the vast majority of his childern and start over again.

What "VERSE" would I need to quote to PROVE that this is indeed the Biblical STORY?

I'm basically quoting the ENTIRE FABLE. Everyone knows that what I'm saying here is indeed the TRUTH. Unless you want to deny and reject the story of Noah and the Great Flood as being part of the biblical cannon.

Then after God saves a handful of righteous people and a boat load of animals, his mentoring and parenting skills don't improve, and this is clearly seen in the New Testament by the supposed coming of Jesus. Mankind is supposedly still committing "sins" which apparently even INCLUDE obeying God's ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS to judge others and stone sinners to death. Because that is also in the story and everyone knows of the story of Jesus with the woman by the well. So I don't need to quote any verses to support the actual stories that most people are already familiar with and know to be part of the Biblical cannon.

The violent teaching methods and threats made by the Biblical God continue with the crucifixion of Jesus and threats by that gospels that those who don't believe that Jesus is the son of god are already condemned.

I'll quote a verse on that just in case you aren't well-versed in the Biblical story:

John.3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The same typical mentoring techniques of threatening people are still in place. Techniques that clearly already failed this God twice before.

Moreover, human behavior still hasn't improved over the 2000 years since Jesus. So this God's parenting and mentoring skills have still not produced positive results.

There's just no getting around it. The Biblical story, and the observations of human behavior proves without a doubt that the Biblical God's mentoring and parenting skills are utterly useless, and ineffective.

The PROOF is clear and cannot be denied.

And this is precisely why we need to stop selling this biblical mythology as the "word of God" it's clearly a book that is chuck full of extremely poor mentoring techniques.

Anyone who uses this book as a guide for parenting skills could seriously damage their children.

With every post you just confirm what I've been saying.

"I still don't expect any evidence"

You couldn't find proof of your previous claims, so you make a new one? One which I didn't even challenge. whoa

All you have proven is that I'm right, you won't produce evidence, you will post the same fluff ad nauseum and you will backpedal and use deflection techniques to avoid the issue.
THAT YOU WILL NOT PROVIDE PROOF OF YOUR OPINIONS. (claims, demands, whatever)

yeah, yeah, I know, now I'll get the standard "denial" routine...

rofl

I couldn't care less what you personally need to fill fulfilled. laugh

My observations stand as facts. No "proof" even required. All I've basically done is recap the story.

1. God creates man.
2. Man falls from grace.
3. God tries to "teach" man good morals.
4. God's teaching and parenting methods fail.
5. God intervenes and floods out his flunked childern.
6. God tries again with a new batch of people
7. God's teaching methods and parenting skills fail again.
8. God intervenes again with his 'only begotten son'
9. God's teaching methods and parenting skills fail again.
10. It's over 2000 years later and God probably just gave up by now. laugh

There's nothing to 'prove', nor is there anything to even 'claim'.

All I'm doing is recapping the genuine history of the mythology.

Everyone KNOWS that what I've just decribed is the TRUTH.

There's no need to "prove" it, it's self-evident.

So your constant harping for 'proof' is absurd. There's nothing to prove. All I did was summarize the history of a failed mythology.

I make no 'claims' that require any proof. All I did was summarize as fable that most people already know by heart.

Clearly this fable can't be about any all-wise God. Therefore it necessarily must be as silly and absurd as Greek Mythology.

No 'proof' required. It's ineptitude self-evident by its own stories.

1. The ones that were believers in God went to heaven and no longer has to deal with ANY form of pain, weather it's physical or emotional. No more having to work, nothing like that. Just paradise and great love AAAAAAAAAALL the time.

And now you're right back to a powerless God again who needs humans to do his work for him.

A God who needs you to do his work for him is an inept God already.

Besides, when it comes to the New Testament Jesus himself could have written it down if he wanted to. Clearly he didn't think it was important enough to write it down.

In fact, based on what the Gospels have Jesus saying there would have been no need to write anything down because even according to the authors of the Gospels Jesus prophecized that that EVERYTHING he taught would come to pass within the current generation to which he was orally speaking:

Matt.24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mark.13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Luke.21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

So by the authors of the gospels own admission, there is no need to write down their stories. Anything predicted by Jesus could not possibly have any meaning for OUR GENERATION 2000 years later.

Jesus clearly thought the end of the world was eminent according to the gospels. That's probably why he didn't bother to write anything down himself. Maybe he was a doomsday fanatic. Who knows? There were a lot of crazy people saying crazy things back then. In fact, they still do it today. laugh

There are just a myriad of reasons to toss this mythology aside. Even if we give it any merit at all, it clearly wasn't even aimed at our generation. So we'd be foolish to think that Jesus was attempting to speak to us or that he would come back 2000 year later after he stated (in his own words according to the gospels) that everything he was speaking about would come to pass before the current generation to which he was speaking passed.

There is virtually no reason to worship this religion today. It's a DEAD mythology by Jesus OWN WORDS.

Me trying to open peoples eyes has nothing to do with desperation or anything to do with me. It's out of love for you all, to try to get you to enjoy the gift of heaven. I would gain or loose ANYTHING if i convert or don't convert anyone. It's not about me. It's about you and the lord.

But your insulting your lord to think that he wouldn't be able to recognize his own worthy children.

The very fact that you think your lord might lose a child if not for your actions implies that you have no trust in your lord at all.

I trust God to 'save' all worthy people amd I'm confident that she will. She does this automatically through karma because She's a very intelligent God. bigsmile

If you can't trust your God to save people who deserve to be saved without your help, then you should consider changing religions because you're basically worshiping an untrustworthy God.

Again, it's not the lord's job nor God's job to bring anyone to God. It is our own job's to do as such. Seek and ye shall find. I'm only helping the people that realize the truth, not helping God not helping Jesus. It's for the lost people of this world.

It doesn't matter who you think you're helping. The bottom line is the same.

If you are more concerned about the fate of a human than God is, then that makes you compassionately superior to God.

The very notion that anyone would need you to find their way to God is not only extreme arrogance on your part, but it's a complete insult to the creator of humankind.

The religion you follow had no respect or genuine faith in God at all. And as far as I'm concerned after having read the book that the religion is based on, it's no wonder. It's a story of an extremely inept God. So it's no surprise that you view God as being so inept and have no faith in God to save his own children.

I can fully understand you view.

I have far more faith in our creator than you do. I trust our creator to do the right thing by everyone without my help.

God doesn't need help. People need the help to see what is before them. God has shown all kinds of signs, but people choose to look away. It's not God's fault people are blind to the truth, it's their own for not seeing the truth right in front of them.
