For the lot of you "it" doesn't even need a definition. You just follow the media anyway, like a bunch of brainwashed susceptible children would follow Candyman regardless of him being a killer.

Really kind of funny actually.

Works like this: Major news station twists the story (here we will use Fox since they are good at it); after that a few people catch wind of the story and eventually they **** it up as well; so then we come to Joe 'Whatshisface' Doh, and by the time he catches the story it is so horrible ****ed that he doesn't even know what the hell he is talking about.

Ala - We get most of you.

comming from the guy who would send a letter of marque if his family was bombed.....anyway, you dont hear us attacking your opinions do u? disagreeing yes but not attacking..

You've got a problem with letters of marque and reprisal? Do you not realize that this country was founded on those principles (among others)? Time for you to wise up! Read Thomas Jefferson and get educated.

I've never attacked you, so I don't know where you're coming from with that. Debate has been about battles of ideas/opinions since classical Greece-if you can't take it, then stay out of debates! drinker

you take pride in your logic...i suggest you employ it. What was...is no longer....times have changed my friend....I'm educated well in history...but more so in realism and the events of the present day. Open your eyes and look around you...things that humanity or any country were founded on WERE the building blocks of their respective cultures...your views are 300 years old and aging....i can handle difference of opinion, not benality.

What makes you think I have zero personal experience? I certainly have enough to destroy all of your wimpy "arguments"! laugh

Actually, I'm well up to date. You are so absorbed in fascialist propaganda that you can't understand it. laugh (you should also know that there's nothing "realist" about your position. It's spun from Kristolite/neocon fiction)

There are plenty of vets who disagree with you, including Ron Paul, members of Iraq Veterans Against The War, Adam Kokesh, etc.

What virtue is there in "suashing" anything? If you'd read general Smedly Butler, you'd know better than that.

Perhaps you, in your haste, didn't notice the Afghanis who don't like foreign occupation?

Did you know that just today, the UK independent reports a doubling in the rate of attacks on British troops? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/taliban-doubles-number-of-bomb-attacks-on-british-troops-1999187.html

(last I heard, even the puppet Karzai is not pleased with foreign troops occupying his country)

ill tell you what....you want to talk about foundation policies etc...read the art of war by niccolo machiavelli. and yes, there are vets against iraq... but not many my friend. a couple hundred guys pissing and moaning while millions across the continent still fight for honour and their country. You are an extreme minority whether you agree or not.

I am not in the military, but I have family who is and was and they disagree with the 'wars'. Unfortunately, I feel any opinion I give in this post will be shot down because I am not 'in the field', which is sad because the title of the thread seems to be welcoming opinions in general not just from military personel....

I have close family who served and are serving in the military (not just combat, but also in intelligence) and I respect and appreciate our men and women in uniform. I don't believe that their orders in this 'war on terror' were just, or well thought out, and I will be glad when they are brought home. I feel we were mislead about WMD's, and that the 'war on terror' is about as productive as the 'war on drugs'. ...I wish I could have more faith,, but I am just waiting to see how much POWER and MONEY we gain from our occupation of those lands,, and how much of it the people who live there will see in comparison...
