Does it matter what kind of job someone has if it is legit and they are living on their own, paying their bills on time, etc.? I mean, you date say a 32 year old who still works in a grocery store as a clerk, but is able to support themself?

I don't care what they do...it's tough out there right now for many people.
We all can't be trust fund babies... |

I am not picky about what a guy does. If he has a job and can support himself, that's fine with me.

not to me

I'm not too picky either. As long as she's happy with her job. I don't see myself with a stripper, porn star, or anything like that though.

There is nothing wrong with a girl who dances and has her head on straight. I danced in Vegas while I was working on THREE of my bachelor's degrees. Yes, I graduated with THREE. I didn't drink while I worked, and since I was a feature, I didn't have to do lap dances. I only performed on stage. I made good money very quickly and stopped when I no longer needed the extra income. I am not a bad person and no one has ever discriminated against me for being a former dancer. (I despise the term stripper) |

I wasn't trying to say that something like that would make them a bad person or anything. I just wouldn't feel comfortable about it, mostly because of my own insecurities. |

Well you didn't delineate that fact. It takes a special type of guy to date a dancer or a porn actress. I see your point. I didn’t date during that period of my life because I had too much going on. Too many distractions would have brought me down. |

Congratulations on your accomplishments. Thank you! I am almost done with my master's. I am proud but there is a certain amount of let-down after working so hard. There is a similar theory with brides; they work hard planning the wedding, etc, and after the reception - a high percentage get depressed. Well, the same with postpartum depression sans the physiological symptoms. A person anticipates something BIG, experiences a huge RUSH – and then it’s over. Sorry - back to your topic. No - I would not discriminate against a person's job. |

I am happy to hear that my boarder who is retired is making money selling nopalea. She uses the stuff and it has really helped her with her diabetes. She says since she has been taking it that it has greatly reduced the inflamation. It sells for $32 a bottle in a four pack. So when she sells a $128 four pack nopalea sends her a $100 payment. She says it is better than Amway because each client by word of mouth refers her to nopalea and she has a great business going. She just gave me her first $100 check since I paid off her fine this month.

no it doesnt matter.
what you do and who you are, are two different things. |

I will agree with all the other replies on this topic. No it should not matter as long as they have a job and they don't live above their income. But the truly sad thing is that there are a lot of people out there that still judge others by their income in the dating world. |
