prophets of God?......... must have missed that. I've only ever read about the disciples of God, don't remember any prophets :/

Cowboy...are you saying that as a Christian you did not know that Jesus was a prophet of God

Jesus was the son of God.

Cowboy...wouldn't logic dictates that all prophets are someone son?

Hebrews 1
1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

it amazing that a Christian do not know that Jesus was a prophet of God ....er... are you sure you are a Christian? or you just play one on tv

Never once said that or insinuated it. God has already told us of what is to come, so that right there tells he can.

if God is not psychic as you claim... then explain how God would know things that are to come

Yes i am a christian if you want to put a title on following our father.

Jesus is specifically called the son of God because God is directly his father/dad. God made marry who was a virgin pregnant with Jesus. There was no outside insemination from any man.

Because if i told you that i'm going to the store later and i do, does that make me psychic? No, it is purely a plan of action.

Cowboy...did Mrs. Mary pop out all the prophets of God through her virgin womb? ...or was all the prophets of God a result of virgin birth..if not, then explain why you brought up Jesus paternity...

because you said and i quote "Cowboy...are you saying that as a Christian you did not know that Jesus was a prophet of God"

You said "know that Jesus was a prophet of God". And i was clearifying Jesus wasn't a prophet of God. Jesus was the son of God here to share God's plan for us.

A prophet is one that sees the future and proclaims it as such. But Jesus wasn't doing that, Jesus was directly telling us the plan of God and his plans to come, not a prophecy but a plan.

And no none of the prophets were born of virgin marry. Jesus was the only living being that was born that way because Jesus is NOT a prophet but indeed is the SON of God.

Cowboy....a prophet of God is not someone that sees the future...they are a messenger of God they deliver the future as fortold by God and that is what Jesus did.. again as a Christian you should know this stuff

so anytime you tell someone that you are going to do something for example (like taking a dump) and then you later take a dump... then it's a prophecy? ...

how rude......but anyway you asked what's my point?

point 1...today you learn that Jesus was a prophet
point 2...you should have known that he was
point 3...you need to read the bible instead of learning about Jesus from a non-believer

but the main point was what you said in the post below

Cowboy stated:
Events and things to come can be seen, because those things can be pushed in that direction.

so now that you know what a prophet is...if there is "Free Will" then explain why the prophets of God was used to push direction...wouldn't this be "God's Will"

Free will is nothing but an ability. The prophets had the ability to not do God's will if they wished. They were not "forced" to do as such. They have a choice, and they chose to do as God told them to do.

Same with us today, we have the free will to do whatever we wish. I can use my free will to sit here and talk to you, or use my free will to go read a book, or even if i truely wanted to go use my free will to kill my neighbor.

If we didn't have free will there wouldn't be a possibility for those options, but yet there are......... hummmmmm....... interesting.

ok...let's make sure of what you are saying..so you believe that a biological function that one generally has little choice but to do everyday fits into the realm of prophecy once the action is performed

is God restricted by options? ...if the answer is no...then that is why God has 'Free WIll" and you don't and why you only have the "choice" to choose from a limited set of options

but anyway I'm not referring to the Prophets...I'm referring to the people...if believers have "Free Will" why is God trying to interfer by pushing his direction

Nottice the third meaning of prophecy

1.
a. An inspired utterance of a prophet, viewed as a revelation of divine will.
b. A prediction of the future, made under divine inspiration.
c. Such an inspired message or prediction transmitted orally or in writing.
2. The vocation or condition of a prophet.
3. A prediction

because God loves us. God wants us to live forever with him not for us to just plainly cease to exist.

And no God isn't restricted by options. But yes God has free will and so do we, you stated right there why we have what is considered free will.

"and why you only have the "choice" to choose from a limited set of options"

Free will allows us those choices, without free will there would be absolutely NO choices.
