I find it interesting that Bush was probably one of the most degraded, slandered, and protested presidents of all time yet did Bush threaten to label the left wing nuts "terrorist like orginantions".Did he call on a ban on CNN because of the onslaught of negative criticism?Did he tell people they should "snitch" out those who oppose him to the white house website as Obama has instructed?Did he call names and slander left leaning groups of people because he did not like what they said?I can go on and on.

I can honestly say I never heard Bush slander or threaten the left despite getting twice the dose Obama is getting. For all those who hated Bush you have to admit you had a free for all with him and now we can see with Obama,Bush was a very humble man when it came to criticism. It's too bad Obama can't just pull up his panties and take some negative feedback with out threatning intimidation.

I had high hopes for him but he didnt turn out to be a very good President.

But he wasn't as bad as some

he was no Nixon fer instance

nor as bad as Carter

or even Grant

and he wasn't the disaster to the country that Warren G Harding was

or Andrew Johnson

The big thing to realize is that President Bush has class, the people who are there now don't.

Yeah, this thread is like a candy store for me...lol...you know that the Dippic's buddy Karl Rove arrainged a "save the shrub" legacy campaign staff...I kid you not...and they are hard at it...I mean absolute shills everwhere like here.

They are paying people to lie basically to help protect him, Chainy, Rumsfeld...and the other criminals that resided in the WH for 8 years, to revise history...but I just laugh. Give it a year or so and there will be charges...murder for one....how about torture?

Talk about 'lived in a cave' ... did you bother to READ what you WROTE ... ? If 'The ONE' is 'helping out Americans', I will GLADLY live without his 'help'. As for 'not going to let Wall Street screw Americans" ... who do you think OWNS Wall Street now ... ? Some people really ARE easy to fool, it seems ... 'Hopey McChangey' ... yeah, he's the CandyMan - the little boy in short pants sitting in the Big Boy Chair playing 'president' - and he's YOUR 'leader' ... be proud ...

mehhh this is all the biggest problem in our politics

no on can disagree with out demonizing the opposition. its poisoning the well to the point where there can be no discussion of anything without all this mud slinging at either

Bush wasn't a Hitler and Obama isn't a communist. They are just ordinary guys doing the best job they can

and the rest is ideological bombastic crap rhetoric propaganda and manipulation of the truth and semi false facts designed to sucker in the gullible and weak minded

as we well see in these very threads

Agreed, Quiet.

The vitriol seen here, and heard in general conversations in real life, have led me to believe that very few people can actually THINK about why they oppose the other side.

So, they resort to name calling. They have no true logical base, so they resort to catch words like racist, bigot, communist, Hitler etc.

The people calling the Tea Party racists completely ignore the fact that many of the party leaders are people of color simply because it doesn't fit into their little box they like to stay in.

The people who call Obama a communist...pretty much the same thing. They can't bring themselves to realize that, even if they think his ideas are the wrong ones, he is doing what HE thinks is the right thing for the country.

There is way too much of the " Well...if the ^ insert name of favorite media source here ^ says it...then it MUST be true ". attitude.

isn't it weird that the tea party are racists but many of their political leaders are black?

I dont get that

it boils down to this: liberal and conservative are just political philosophies of the role of government

Modern Democrats and Republicans actually have no resemblance to liberals or conservatives. They have each placed the pre-eminence of their party over the success or failure of this nation

I firmly believe that either party would prefer to see this country totally collapse if they could just blame it on the other party

I for one would like to see em all, both parties, run out of town with torches and pitchforks

apparently the Bush bots on this thread have never watched a new channel other than Fox. It seems you people forget the phrases "You're either with us or for the terrorists" " if you don't help us, don't come to us for the piece of the pie" (pie meaning oil), or the strong arming of poor countries when he withdrew funding and food supplies to the countries that didn't go along with the petition that made american soldiers exempt to being charged with international crimes.
