What do you do when you love someone you can't have?

Just keep on loving them. You don't have to worry about messing up the relationship because you will never meet. It is always fresh and they are with you only in your mind. They never make mistakes because you have total control of how they speak and act.

let them go and love them as friends. there are plenty of people to love who are available. i would share my love with them all in different ways.

What do you do when you love someone you can't have? get real, move on and love one who is available to love.... why would anyone love someone they can't have? Sounds like self torture. |

you can't switch off love like a light switch. it takes time. If you suffer too much because of it, distance may help...or not. I just love them more each day, but from a distance.

is Love 'something' we can possess?

I think when you love someone you can not have you are playing games with yourself.
It is and emotional time out to feel the superficial feelings and make that person your fantasy not the real person they are. It is not fair to them because you put them in the terrible position of betraying themself to be with you. It is really a waste of energy and can actually be a bad habit to fall into because real people can rarely live up to our fantasy lovers. Life is too short, and time can slip away very fast. To watch life from the sidelines is really cheating yourself. THere is someone out there for everyone if you actually get out and enjoy life you will attract them to you from mutual interests and values. When you are busy and satisfied in your own life you will easy forget the illusionary lover. |

If you know you can't have them.....
Move on. Or else trouble!! Keep the love in your heart though... And spread it around!! |

I don't think love turns on and off ... I think it just changes dresses. Love takes many forms and only one of them comes with the fancy sash that says Romantic. For me it is about opening my heart not closing it. Allow your feelings to shift and don't hold on to expectations of something that will never be. Stay out of the future - it hasn't happened yet and is unknowable. Stay out of the past - you can't do anything about that now. If you stay in this moment, you will release all feelings of loss.
All the best to you. |
