Thanks. I am working with a newcomer and I told him that he is the most important member of the group. I have had to drive him to see his therapist and psychatrist. I was explaining to him the difference of medication self prescribed and medically prescribed by a physician. I was telling him to keep taking his lithium and prescriptions that his physician gave him because he is still waiting for the blood work to see if he is adht or bipolar. He was telling him that meth was his real problem more than the alcohol. He said he got a lot out the meeting. He is a lot calmer now and acting a lot less like richochet rabbit with the bing, bing, bing.

So many people with psychiatric problems never get the help they need and end up self-medicating. It's very sad. I'm glad that he's getting help, whether he has ADHD or bipolar or not, and that you are there for him.

Thank you. He is telling me that instead of his 6 year old son being afraid of him that they are actually enjoying spending time with each other. His wife even apologies to me because she is late getting back home to take care of their child so he can go to the meetings with me. Even her father which is his father-in-law are getting back some trust in each other. His father-in-law gave them a place to stay temporarily and gave him the keys to the church where we have the meetings. He says that we don't have to pay for our meeting rent but we are self-supporting through our traditions. He is even feeling guilt now because time he has wasted when he told his father-in-law that he would help paint the inside of the church last summer but is now is wanting to help out. He is seeing how his addiction has hurt his family and himself. What I find that is fascinationg is how in helping others it really does help one's self. He is already wanting to help others which is a good sign; What we call being a productive member of society.

I have some pretty serious psych issues, but the only substance I do anymore is pot. (Ever since that last LSD trip landed me in the ER.) I wish I could afford psych services. I mean, back when my main problem (aside from the constant depression my whole life) was just knowing that an invisible race of parasites controlled and eats everyone on the planet, it was almost manageable; only cost me my marriage. However, nowadays, I am pretty certain that I am the physical manifestation of Samael, the first Archangel, here on Earth. Not only that, but I met Azazel (straight out of the Bible) He's riding around in the body of this weird goth/raver girl that I met. I guess what I am saying is that my mental problems are growing beyond the point where I can remain sane(-ish) and still continue to function. (Not that I function very well nowadays)

I thought we decided the invisible parasite was the Ego. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. Can I help? flowerforyou

of course it is, but they are everywhere and they are icky and I abhor having to interact with anyone wearing one. and EVERYONE is wearing one. (Over two years old anyway.) Plus lack of work, while I finally have an associate's degree now. Due to the same recession that cost me the job and my marriage, starting back in 12/2007. I haven't worked since, though for the two years I have been job-hunting...exhaustively.
Sorry, fell back into using I...moving on...Aside from the mental pressures of all that, We're writing a novel sized screenplay for creation by 12/21/2012 that we will hope unite and maybe even save/prepare mankind for what will be happening right then, while they are watching the movie...
Anyway aside from all that, this Demon who escaped imprisonment in chains under the lake of fire (He was a bad, bad, Demon) is now sort of one of our friends/associates/whatever and that sort of wears on our sanity just a bit. Especially when we look into her orange eyes. Which aren't that way from contacts. (We know, we do special effects work too.) Anywho, we need to find out what the Nephilim were/are which is a frustrating area of study, as the Church has erased almost all traces of that knowledge.
Aside from knowing enough about a Bible to help with that, um... I don't know. just talking about it makes me feel a tiny bit better.

I remember you told me about the movie. I wish I knew the secrets of the Bible better, too. Or rather the secrets they removed from the Bible.

You can email me anytime if you need to talk. flowerforyou

I think I have it pegged. The Nephilim weren't the Watchers themselves, but rather their children with the female women that the "sons of god" took as their wives. (both pre flood and after) Sort of a half Orionoid/Angel/Son of God and half human. They were literally giants, but the word Nephilim meant Earth-borne, not giants. They were the heroes of old I think. Hercules and the like. Possibly the Titans.

Our Saturday meeting went well. Still just him and me but I am taking him to a larger meeting that he is looking forward to, tonight. He got his driver's license back which is cool because it will save me from having to go and get him and the backtracking in driving. Atleast from our practice meetings so to speak he will know what to expect at the larger meeting. Still waiting on the starter kit but atleast at the larger meeting he will be able to pick up the newer version of the basic text. I think he is going to ask me to be his sponsor.

We had a good ride to the larger meeting. He liked it but was really tired. Found out that I had the air conditioner button pushed in instead of the heater. I was telling him the air conditioner works great in the winter. So on the way back we had a couple of capachinos. I didn't realized that they made fat free french vanila capachinos. It was a long drive but they put us on the register with the region which should bring us more members to our meeting. We got some literature order forms so we can have a normal meeting. His enthusiam is refreshing and he sold his truck so that his wife and him can visit her folks in Syracuse, New York at the end of the month. Taking him to the meetings has been a good diversion from work and has kept me clean. I wanted to have someone to share the expenses of going to meetings and he has been helping out on gas money plus we have shared expenses of snacks and drinks. He shared at the meeting that he now has three months clean so he got four key tags for 24 hours, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days. Each member got to say something over the key tags or just wish him luck. One member wanted us to share how we make it through those days when it is our hardest which I thought was a good topic.

Wednesday night I couldn't get the key to the meeting because I was busy and short on cash. But I got to the meeting place because I told members at an AA meeting that the NA meeting was taking place. Sure enough got some members to come from the AA. One AA member who was there asked, "Does this mean I won't get my court paper signed?" I said, "No." I signed his paper and others even though we didn't have a meeting because they showed up. It wasn't their fault we didn't have a formal meeting. Saturday I was given the key after taking one member to the meeting and I have the key for myself now. Meeting was still late because of having to get the member because I was still busy fixing things at home but I went and got another member and we just had a late meeting. Still no starter kit but we are improvizing.

It was cool this Wednesday as I had the key to open the meeting. I went and made a full pot of coffee. Figured if nobody showed up I could just read my Just For Today book and my NA literature. I was glad that I had signed one of the new members court papers because he showed up and another member did, too. As they say in AA all you need is two members, some coffee and a resentment. Small meetings sometimes be good ones because some of us are longwinded.laugh We got to help the new member who has a court order against him by his girlfriend. He said he understands the court order but the girlfriend still wants to see him. Found out that she has a court order against him and her two other boy friends. We convinced him that maybe he should just concentrate on recovery and learn how to live on his own like we have done.

I found the needed literature for our group at NA.org http://www.na.org/ And it even has it several languages. This site has the literature in nice pdf. files that one can print from.
http://www.na.org/?ID=ips-eng-index After copying them to my printer one of the ladies had plastic cover sheets and I found a nice binder for them. So we really didn't need the starter kit just, yet. Had a nice Saturday 1 pm meeting. My room mate came with me and her two girl friends showed up; I was the only male there. I am so happy that our new little group is surviving.
