RE: The original topic of the thread. I dont know if I already posted this, but I think Pat is way off the mark. His assumption is that every 'bad' thing that happens to people is some sort of punishment directly from God.

Not only do I disagree on my previous post that death is not a punishment when someone loves God but a deliverance. I also believe, from what I am witnessing and reading about their situation everyday,,that the HAITIANS just may have served the very delightful purpose of bringing OTHERS together, bringing out the charitableness of others, and possibly even making it more clear to many how grateful they should be for their own lives and loved ones.

I also notice the people there, seem to be very resilient and the ones who are surviving are surviving pretty MIRACULOUS(yes I said it,,lol) circumstances. 15 days under rubble with no food and water? come on now,, ID say that is much more a sign of being blessed than cursed.
