I've known some of you for 3+ years now. WOW!

I've made connections which I cherish incredibly. The correspondence with even the most cherished ebbs and flows. EXTREMELY interesting people come and go. I've known terrific friendships and romance.

I've been to new places including Europe, New England, and several places in between, which can be directly attributed to this online activity. I've met people whom I've learned so much from, shared in tragedy, joy, and LOTS of laughter.

I've also shared collective "eye rolls" upon seeing posed questions that initiate with "why don't/doesn't , what bothers you about,it sucks when, I'm bored (a personal favorite), etc., etc.".

I want to know what HAS worked, what you LIKE about, the unforseen blessings you have received from this little experiment.

This is a VERY young phenomenon and WE are the ginea pigs.

What AN INCREDIBLE TIME TO LIVE!

I'm with you....

I have made great friends, laughed and had some good debates.
You can learn great new things from people no matter where they are.

I am enjoying some very creative writing skills reading through the profiles...lol

I also enjoy the interesting topics which often spill over into conversations I have with RT friends and family.

I have also strengthened my own faith in the religious forums and I have strengthened my belief that people can disagree without disrespecting , that objective conversations can actually be had amongst those with differing opinions.

Yes I SO love the differences and common ground.

I once had a debate with someone SO far on the opposite side of the spectrum then I.

There was great stuff in between but long story short we finally posed what our parents would do if they saw our exchange.

His would "pray"....mine would "chant".

I have been in some heated debates myself on here, but in the next thread...I can still laugh and joke with them.

Commonalities YR...isn't it incredibly sweet when you find that ground?

I look at forums as Vegas. What happens in that forum, stays in that forum

Wait a minute though... it is SO fun when they merge or get sub-referenced. When you have the energy to scan and pay attention to different "rooms" (if you will).....THAT'S FUN!!!!

well I have brought in things said from another thread in a debate before...but that is part of the debate

even in the most heated of debates....I don't take things personally or hold grudges

Tryin to stay "positive" but MISSING GYPSY!

i've been through the good times and the bad times on here.just like life,so no real effect on me either way.....

I've laughed and cried with some of you I used to be so shy but now i have fun taking pics and sharing with my online friends thank you all

It's a good thing to look at the positive things in life....especially when you are down

Being a part of this site has initiated some firm friendships for me. I have also shared in the joys and sorrows of my M2 friends.I have had a lot of support through very difficult times (and hope that I have supported those who have askked for mine) I rarely see differences in the people I have 'met' here. To me, you guys are real, I see you as real,the fact that we are in different parts of the world hardly crosses my mind...........You are just a keyboard away.

I love this idea of the world getting smaller Miss.

One of my favorite things is reconsidering my own positions after hearing perspectives that I might not otherwise.

walking the walk and talking the talk with many beautiful souls I never would have had the privilege to meet in the days before the internet.

Life in all the colours, all the textures, light and shadow ... it is a pretty rich stew


Philosophy, debates, laughter, tears, fears, celebrations, losses ... all shared with people I genuinely care about ...

Myself I have been here the 3 years as well. Being on here I was actually able to find a creative side I never knew I had. Shortly after first joining the site I ventured within the poetry section. Within there I found a whole group of people that were different from those within the main forums. They seemed calmer, kinder and seemed to have more compassion for others.

After reading and leaving my comments for a bit a few told me I should post something. I had only wrote 4 poems in my life and no one had ever read them nor knew I had wrote them. Now 3 years later I have a whole collection of poems I have wrote. All due to ones that I had only been in contact through this site and afar.

I have as well been able to gain many friendships that I do cherish as well. Not only that I have actually been able to a few times meet a few in person. It is amazing to meet those people that if it was not for a site you may have never meet them.

Even though I have seen many pass through these forums each and everyone of them have left their impression. Here is to many more new beginnings within 2010.
