Apparently Uganda's plans have been watered down a tiny bit, now instead of executing gays, the minister for "ethics and integrity" has said that gays will face life imprisonment in order for them to be "rehabilitated". The bill will still punish those who have gay sex, and those family members who fail to turn in their gay relatives to the authorities.

Didn't know that. Sounds counterproductive. I guess much of the world hasn't heard about the gene mutation that is the underlying cause. It's like telling an MR person to quit being so dumb.

Someday the world will wake up but by that time, one of the many possible cataclysmic events will propably happen.

Actually Uganada is doing better on reducing AIDS than most African countries, the problem is that 84% are Christians with 41% adhering to Catholicism (discourage condom use) and with the pressures from some American Christian evangelicals the Ugandan government was about to kill people for their sexual orientation.

Only after the media outed the American Christian supporters for this bill did anyone say a thing. Many of the people who influenced the kill bill are from the C-Street "church" group..."The Family", these people live on another planet.

I dont know that any 'cause' has been proven. I still say peoples desires are personal until they ACT upon them and that peoples desires can change. I think criminalizing a persons sexual tastes is as extreme as promoting and encouraging it,,, whatever people desire outside of the procreative desire for a man to be with a woman,,should not be punished or endorsed,, IMHO

Not long ago, even in the states, anything that wasnt an adult male with an adult female was ostricized and criminalized. Homosexuality was in the same class as pedophilia. I empathize with everyone when it comes to sexual desire, because it is a very complex thing that would be impossible to legislate.

perhaps there should be a rehab option, like we give to those who love the feeling of being drunk or being high (and who have money,lol) Im thinking, if Tiger goes to a sex rehab and gets his sexual addiction diagnosis,, the world might go easier on him(because its hard wired and he cant 'help it' and all...).

I dont think jail is good for anyone unless they are an actual THREAT to their community, like murderers or arsonists.

people are born with all types of PREDISPOSITIONS, and rehab is supposed to help them deal with those things,,,seriously, I doubt rehab from gay would be taken seriously, i dont believe it would happen but

If there is sex rehab and a big part of sexuality is SEX, than it goes to say,, that rehab from GAY sex is just as possible as rehab from any other type,,,anyhow,, just a silly thought I tossed out,, not seriously expecting it to happen.

Being gay is just as natural as being hetero or bi. Sex in nature was never limited to male and female only.
