Thanks, Kiss. My momma told me to pray before I go to work and when I do the night goes a lot better. It is like my higher power works out things in advance for me. The first half of Psalms 23 Verse 5 explains it but what I find out is that at work they are not really my enemies.

Good morning, Carol. Yesterday, my friend, Norman came to check out the new room project. He was scratching his head on the project like my friend, Brad did. Norman, Kathy's ex, said he would bring the transit this next week. Since the outside wall is what we are going to connect to for the new room he was trying to find a plumb and level place to start. But the problem is the house tried to shift once and that is why mom had fill dirt brought up a few years back so it wouldn't be a mobile home so to speak. As you know real mobile homes come with wheels. It is like those people in California who live on those mud slides who called their houses mobile homes. They said they didn't plan them to be mobile as the house went down the hill.

Did you hear about those homes in Canada and they are looking for the family under the mud they can hear the cell phone ring and they found the dog alive?

I am missing a lot, Carol.

Got scratched by a resident this morning. She called me a s.o.b. I should have remembered her condition but found myself saying that she didn't even know my mother. I hate it when I have to be the bad guy. Being responsible isn't one of my natural virtues but it seems my higher power is working with me on this one. I am glad I have the night off. Possession or dementia is one thing I have been trying to figure out the difference of every since I begin working at the nursing home. But I really can't blame them. I would hate to be bed checked every two hours. The other younger male aide and I were discussing the new get up list this morning as we have since the new D.O.N. made it. On the one hand they say the residents have rights but on the other hand we have rules set down by the new D.O.N. After a while with working with dementia people it can really affect the way you look at things. It was different when we had a nurse on each floor. I will be glad when we are adequately staffed. But if you don't get them up some of them just won't eat. I sure like it when they are in their right mind. I hope everyone is having a good morning.
