Topic: GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK , BEFORE MEETING THEM?

Some people state that they chat with someone for months before meeting
them and it turned out to be a bomb date...so how much quality chat
conversation did you have before you met this person? Talking about
favorite sexual positions, are you shaved, cup size, etc doesn't tell
you if that person your chatting with has just been released three days
ago from prision for rape does it? The beauty in meeting someone from
the internet is that you can learn so much about them long before you
actually meet them vs. meeting somone and THEN learning....soooo...my
question to all of you is what do you consider good questions to ask
before meeting someone from the internet...?????????????

Hmmm. How long since your last relationship? Are you still in a
relationship? Complaints you had about the last relationship? Did you
leave the last relationship because you were not compatible with them?
Was there a communication problem? Did they make you feel uncomfortable
in some way? Did you feel threatened or uncomfortable around them? Did
they talk to you or at you? Did you see yourself or theirself
differently after meeting them? Did you want to back out just as soon as
you saw them or did you feel accepted? After having a relationship with
them did it change you or the way you viewed yourself? Did learn
something new about yourself that you would want to work on before
getting into a new relationship?

If they have children, what are their children like, what do they do,
what do they do on their days off etc.
usually if sex comes up in the first conversation- not a good sign!

It's not so much what you ask, or what the answers are, people can lie
ya know. It's more a feeling about what kind of person they are. Having
conversations that reveal true feelings is more important than asking
about every detail of their past, cause like I said, people can lie. But
they usually can't hide their true feelings for long if you're open to
that, especially when you meet them.

Bama, emphasis on when you meet them. Words are words, the meeting
really gives it all.

Kim....

I know your going to think I'm CRAZY, but, I had bought 3 books, that
lists questions to ask a "potential" date before meeting them. Out of
those books, I went through each one and made a list of ones that I
thought was appropriate to ask. Some were quite interesting to tell you
the truth.

I can't help it...I am very methodical when it comes to things like
this....

Questions are easy for me to come up with. It is the answers that I have
trouble dealing with.laugh flowerforyou

What I find that can be immature is when two can't share the problems
that the two had with previous relationships. Heck, that is the
unresolved issues or what may some call baggage. Nip it in the bud right
there. Do yourself and them a favor. I believe you can help yourself and
them a whole lot dealing with unresolved issues. The past is the key to
the future.

Actually, I have this whole book, called, "What To Ask Before You Jump
Into Bed." Stupid title, because it is really about self-esteem and
making sure you make choices that are good for you, and not made out of
desperation or who someone else wants you to be. It's a little much,
like putting the guy under a heatlamp and grilling him.

Hi Rivergirl,

If you put a guy under a heatlamp and grill him, what temperature should
you set the heatlamp at for maximum flavor and enjoyment? Wouldn't it
be easier to use an oven? :)
