Tim, trust me I've been married enough times to know....don't throw out the baby with the bathwater...Juyst because an ex is a screwup, doesn't mean the whole family is...stay friends with them...they probbly know who was to blame anyway.

I do stay friends with them, I just cant do everything they want me too, like going over for dinner...... it just isnt the same

No, it isn't...but sometime invite them out to dinner or to some event... That way ya'll can still see each other in a safe zone....I still see most of my ex in-laws...and even some of the ex's....My first husband and his wife moved to the same lake I'm on,,,about 2 miles away....we have cookouts together with all our kids, his, ours, and hers!! It's actually fun!
