Just take his comment about Republicans being uneducated. Nothing but lefty rhetoric. You can find stupid people in both parties.

Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican
Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor. Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune. Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time. Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican’s would still be sitting in the dark) He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show, the host’s keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day) Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have”. True.I believe that originally Repubs were against slavery. Times have changed though,,,lol
Still, we are all still here because all of us have descendants (generally speaking) who made contributions and sacrifices necessary to get us here. It was not just one race, one gender, one political party ,,,etc,, It took the nation ,,,, |

sometimes it must get worse before it gets better. Ever seen someone with their nose broken have it snapped in place? I bet that is a pain worse than any in their lifetime,, but it is for the purpose of fixing an already existing problem. The debt we have to incur is to correct the debts already existing. It is painful, I agree, but I believe it is necessary. I set back supportively as my tax dollars sent children to a nonsense war,,,that set us back quite a bit financially. It is all about whether the money is being spent in ways that are worth it,, but its going to be spent one way or the other.
I think health, education, and economy are as good a reason for incurring debt as war is. |

What are you talking about George W. got us in debt Obama is trying to get us out. There is your response. It goes back much further than that, but GWB bears lots of blame (Read "Meltdown" by Tom Woods for a full analysis). Obama may claim to be trying to "fix" things, but it is the classic error of would-be emperors throughout history to take the top-down approach viz Obama, Bush, and most every other president ever. |

I dont think any one particular party has a monopoly on ignorance. I understand OBamas statement though about people who want to tear down any mention of anything positive and drown it out with despair and negativity instead. his policies are anti American...and...the ruin of this great country...what we've witnessed these last nine months has been a disaster...it's so sad to watch what he's attempting to do to this great nation... |

What are you talking about George W. got us in debt Obama is trying to get us out. There is your response. ...trying to get us out ?...the last year under George Bush...the defecit was $459 billion...this fiscal year it stands at 1.4 trillion...do the math son...Obama has no fuggin' clue what he's doing...he's just another tax and spend radical Liberal...who's wrecking this countries economy...and...it's standing in the world...our currency is worthless...he's spending money we don't have...and...while he's trying to force healthcare on a country that's 85% happy with what they already have...people are losing there jobs each and everyday...the true unemployment rate...is 17%...when you count those who have stopped looking...in his 9 months...almost 4 million jobs lost...2 car companies taken over...nationalized the banks...nationalized student loans...a record 35 million on food stamps... he's surrounded himself with 34 czars who would never have passed the Senates approval...with there communist beliefs...so what's next on his agenda...Cap and Trade...or better know as KneeCap and Tax...which will be a way for the government to dictate how each individual household regulates there heating and air conditioning...through what they call " smart grids "...did you know that in this bill...all the fines that the goverment collects from businesses that don't conform to their stringent polution standards...will go into a government account and then be directly deposited into the bank accounts of those people who are 150% above the poverty line if they can't pay there heating bills...that is what this guy meant by redistibution of wealth...his whole agenda is to return this coutrty to it's rightful owner...and in his mind...thats the poor...the down troddin'...who he believes are there because of the rich...and...the middle class... |

What are you talking about George W. got us in debt Obama is trying to get us out. There is your response. We were in debt, duh, but in bigger debt now, the biggest in American history every since your hero obama stepped foot in the white house. Which by the way is OUR white house, not his. Obama's $787 BILLION stimulus package topped us over into the flood zone of debt. If you can't see that, sorry for you. The Bush administration had a spending problem and to say Obama doesn't makes one nothing but blind. ""Under Obama the Bush trend keeps going, but this time on steroids. It's important to see the Obama budget projections as two phases, the crisis period of astronomical spending in 2009 and 2010, and the normal phase, from 2011 to 2019. Most of his stimulus and other big programs are designed to give the economy a jolt in 2009 and 2010 and then largely disappear or be offset by tax increases - at least that's the plan. Then the surge in outlays comes from two forces that would wreak budget havoc for any President: the relentless rise in entitlements and the surge in debt interest."" http://money.cnn.com/2009/06/05/retirement/next_crisis_americas_debt.fortune/index.htm?postversion=2009060909 I purposely posted this link from CNN so I wouldn't be accused of using a conservative link. I honestly do not see how anyone can sit there and say obama is getting out of debt, that is the farthest from the truth. |
