I love all animals. I have a Blue Quaker now, BB and a Cat, Fancie, but thinking REALLY hard on getting an Umbrella Cockatoo. I have had birds and raised them for about 16 years and I really miss my big ones but just want a medium size one now is why i'm going with a U2. But I would have one of every kind of animal if I could!..Love em all!..flowerforyou

I'd love a Hyacinth Macaw! Or a rose cockatoo.

I've got the green Quaker, Gypsy, a Patagonian Conure, a cockatiel, and 5 parakeets. Noisy bunch, funny as all get out, and sweeties. Well, not so much the cockatiel or the 'keets. But not horridly bad either.

hey all...up the butt in homework and studying this weekend.
I have two papers to write and a test Monday in my Vet Tech class on Physical Exams and history taking. Been working on making me note cards to help study by. I have to write one paper on Mastiffs. I also have math and 7 pages in my Vet Tech workbook to do. Also a paper in another class to write... Oh and also a dog breeds quiz Wed...
Does any one have any advice on easier ways to study? Any experience in this and what worked for you?

I did get an A on last week's math test and a 95/100 on my 12 page midterm paper. I also won the drawing for perfect attandance and picked out a set of our school's Vet Tech scrubs...whoohooo:banana:

I'm not trying to brag up, but I am pretty proud of how I am doing...I was so scared to start school and wondered if I could do it...so far so good. This Tuesday I am registering for next quorters classes already....

LOL! Sounds like you're having fun. Glad it's going so well.

If you find a better way on studying, let me know. I'm having that problem with the psychology classes, and I hate writing papers. Urgh!

The cockatiel and the patagonian were handfed. The 'keets were all rescues, so I don't know if they were before I took them in. The previous owner of the quaker found her in her backyard one morning, and the vet had her feed gruel for about 2 weeks and wean her off, so she was still young enough for it. She ended up passing Gypsy to me due to her sister having breathing problems unrelated to the bird.

And yes, I love their individual personalities. I've never really had any issues with the noise either, though on pretty days I do put them outside to let them jabber. The cockatiel will natter like a mockingbird in the spring-fall months. Rather funny.

I'm fond of the bigger birds, and have always gotten along with the macaws, even those who weren't stranger friendly.

Oh, and I'd also like an Alexandrine parakeet. A friend has one, and she's a beaut!

Good. I had to rotate my tom turkeys now to a different pen for the next couple of months. Typical males overdoing it with the gals, and they fighting each other over it all. Dorks.

They're real sweeties though, especially Drago, my gentle Giant (literally, a White Giant).

I'll try and snag some recent pictures of the group. Most of my pictures are on Myspace. The picture here of Gypsy was with her playing flirty games, so it wasn't a good one. LOL!

LOL! Never got that with mom's Shih-Tzu. However, one of her Japanese Chin is that way. He thinks he's hysterically cute and funny. Will start playing and rolling between one's legs and then all of a sudden he turns demonic and starts gnawing on the achilles tendon. LOL! Then he looks up as you're falling and hollering in pain and wags his tail all innocent-like.

I've heard Jendays are clowns. :-)

I like beta fish. I had one at one time that was on my nightstand. I'd get up at 5 AM and feed him before heading to work. He'd pop the water on my days off, and it would irritate me so much I'd wake up, roll over and feed him, and then go back to sleep.
