I have to tell this. I had a peach colored Burmese cat for 14 years named Pinkerton. He was so special and back then I used to let my cats run in and out of the house. One day a neighbor shot Pinky with a pellet gun on purpose. Pinky came home with his leg shattered and he had to have pins put in it and a huge cast thing on his leg. I bought a playpen and put it up in the windowseat so he could look out the window. My other cats sat outside of the playpen to be near him. Pinky got better and began riding with me on my bicycle in a basket on the front. No leash and he loved it. The wind bothered his eyes so I got some doll sunglasses and he wore them! People ran into things when they saw us coming down the street. But diabetes took him over and I had to repay Pinkerton's love and devotion to me by euthanizing him. He understood.

any neighbor shot an animal of mine, and even made so much as a red mark on them i'd wrap that pellet gun around their head and break their trigger finger in several places. truth is, that neighbor would be lucky to be able to chew their own food if i found out they did something like that. and i don't care if that neighbor happened to be a seven year old kid. boy girl, i don't care. and heaven help the motorist i see run over an animal and not stop to render aid. HEAVEN help them, cos the paramedics won't be able to in time.

My (late) husband was furious and wanted to wring someone's neck. I told him that we could get blood thirsty and make a list of all the people within 6 miles who could be capable of doing such a thing OR we could take Pinkerton to the vet and put our energy into getting him better and NOT get arrested. Besides, we had no proof of this old man shooting Pinky but he had a pellet gun and was known to shoot it off in his backyard all the time. The old man died not long after the incident. Karma. And no we had nothing to do with it except for my gypsy curse.spock

the search is over. we found what was left of him. some neighbor said there was a coyote in the neighborhood, but i dunno about that. i know there are high school kids in the neighborhood for sure.

i love u so much luke. u were a good cat...

Oh, I am so sorry. Damn the coyotes. That's why my cats have to stay in now. I doubted that coyotes would actually come into a housing development and one night I heard toenails scratching around on my driveway (I was in the garage). I ran into the house and looked out the front windows and there was a coyote across the street loping along with my 12 year old cat in his mouth. Spike was dead. I was able to get my cat back for burial. There are no cats left in my neighborhood except mine. Coyotes got them all. White cats don't stand a chance-too visible. The darker cats survive a little longer but not that much longer. Again, I am so sorry.

I am cat lady and have always had black ones.. right now I have a black and white shorthair that thinks he is human.. Pookie ..

animals are so like that..i think sometimes they ARE more human than some actual humans and some humans are more animal than human

But... But... if the human is more like an animal, and the animal, by way of its nature, is more human... and if you add these two thoughts together... then it means that a human is more human than a human.

Your cat put these thoughts in your head. Don't even begin to try to deny this.

Woo. This person has so much dignity, integrity and inner peace that the tenth of it, if I could somehow get it, would make me into a complete being.

--------------------

Her crossed eyes make her very sexy, too.

Whoo. Gimme a block of ice to sit on, somebody, quick.

- - - - - - - -

I know it's not very respectful or dignified to talk like this about a person who had just passed away, but this baby is Hot Hot Hot.

(I am not into gay beastiality... it's just all cats are females for me, psychologically. Because of their grace, their cool, their beauty; their personality. That's why I like women so much, I guess.)

Well HELL!!!!

I don't know how they know.....but, once again...I have been adopted by another dog chick.

So....just to completely clash with the two black honeys I got...

This one shows up and decided to stay....

(didn't help that she showed up on mexican food night)

Since then....it has been a frenzy of playing....black dogs on a white bedspread....thanks ladies....

But, she is sweet and relatively small...so...I sure as hell can't kick her out into the pouring rain......

I am such a sucker for a pretty face.

They are beautiful!

I've got a black lab/pit mix, a deaf Dogo Argentino, a cat, a conure, a cockatiel, a quaker parrot, 8 parakeets, 3 PBPigs, 9 cows, 12 goats, a horse, 6 turkeys, 2 geese, and about 70 chickens. I also have 4 Japanese Chins, but they're actually my brothers. LOL!

And yes, the livestock are also pets, though I eat the chicken, turkey and goose eggs, with about half of my animals as rescues. I'll take in more goats if any come through one of the local rescues I work with.

I lost both of my ratties this year, with Fairy passing about 2 weeks ago. Also Cadbury the rabbit died, which really sucked.

I spent yesterday playing baseball with my best friend's two little girls, 7 and 13. They have an intelligent border collie bred to herd sheep. Every time the girls hit the ball and I started chasing them, the dog would bite my ankles and herd me away from them.

I am nursing about thirty bites right now.grumble

Thanks. Cadbury was a shock, losing her. The rats not so much, since they tend to go due to cancer, unfortunately.

Yep, all the critters but the chickens have names. A couple of hens and roosters have specific names, but most just go by "mama" or "food" if a rooster. LOL!

Urgh! Keep an eye on that, and hope it doesn't go into any sinus problems.

I got slammed in the face by one of the goats horns 2 years ago, it was sore, but fine, then 3 months after it became infected. Managed to clear it with echinacea. Now it's back, and isn't healing. No insurance, so I'm self-treating. I've got a liquid bubble on the upper portion, inside of my mouth in the sinus cavity, which I hope won't get worse. Mom passed me a couple amoycillian pills but it's not helping.
