Batter up !!!

Life had thrown its pitches at me.
Don't know how many times I'd been
hit in the face, with a fast ball.
"Ouch" you say.

Yeah it hurts like hell, I'll tell ya.
Just got to get right back up there
and get in the game. At times I was so
frightened when ever the ball was let loose.

Many times striking out,
many times walking the bases. Then
there where those times I'd hit the
ball. Sometimes they were caught and "your out
was called immediately, sometimes not.

Then there were those times I hit
home runs. The kind right outta the park.
That elated feeling that came with the sucess.
Not giving up, not turning my back on the game.

My team mates would never of forgiven me had I
given up, and neither would the coach. I had come
too far in this game to quit now. Now I would die
for this game, Batter up!!!

Life has been sending me those slow ones that I can see all the way in and hit clear to the moon lately!
