Cigarette taxes are a federal excise tax,

the key word is tax

whether he supported it in the past or not he said

""""""not any of your taxes.""""""

a tax is a tax

not any of your taxes is not any of your taxes

this is not rocket science

things can be made to sound like anything you want them to sound like

i prefer to take a person at their word and obama's word was

""""""not any of your taxes.""""""

Cigarette taxes are a federal excise tax, thus as the article states it is a tax ------- thus they were raised --- thus his word is worthless --- whether you consider it a lie or not

the article say he said not any of your tax and it also says a tax was raised

proof positive thank you

the President’s Fiscal Year 2010 budget proposals are not a formula for energy independence/security.

The President’s budget submission makes a huge tax hit on the oil and natural gas industry. When counting the industry’s possible share of the more general revenue raisers (LIFO, Superfund tax, etc.) and adding that to the industry-specific hits (Section 199, IDC’s, etc.), the total will likely exceed $80 billion over ten years. With America in the midst of an economic recession, now is not the time to impose new taxes on the nation’s oil and natural gas industry.

Why not? There are a lot of people who can afford to and want to support BHO and pay more at the pump.
The more and higher the Tax, the happier are the Liberal.
It's not only gasoline that is affected.
It's plastics and any other product that uses petrolium to prduce it.

flowerforyou hi winx!

Hi, Ddn.flowerforyou

I feel differently about it. I don't take it personal. The taxes that I pay help society. I live in the city. If I need gas in the county, I might wait to get it until I get into the city. I would rather my taxes go to my city, where I live, instead of the county. If I remember to do it, I am the same about stores too.

Obama hasn't raised any of my taxes.

He's (along with Congress and the FED) inflated the currency and devalued the dollar which is a type of tax on anyone who uses dollars.
