does anyone remember the tizzy from people (including myself) about "read my lips...no new taxes"? I see it as the same thing here
and if I am cynical then I think others are gullible. I have stood up for this president in the chain email thread and that thread about something he said while he was overseas (about our soldiers I believe.) In fact Davey and I were the ones that debunked that. so if that makes me cynical....so be it |

If it ever gets to the point where I can't afford my pepsi, than alot of people will die. Oh yeah sure I'll be grumpy for a few days after my last sip of sugary-goodness, but after that I will snap and leave a trail of dead bodies all over Kentucky.

If it ever gets to the point where I can't afford my pepsi, than alot of people will die. Oh yeah sure I'll be grumpy for a few days after my last sip of sugary-goodness, but after that I will snap and leave a trail of dead bodies all over Kentucky. I'm in Texas...so I'm safe they will come after your coffee/tea and snack foods next...BEWARE And the news media will say "Oh why didn't we catch this man sooner? What could have affected him so much that he would kill everyone in his home state?" Two words; No caffeine |

I don't think it would matter if it was diet or caffeine free. I could see them labeling a soda as "anything that fizzes when its shaken"

I do not support this tax, if this tax goes through it won't be long before they start taxing everything that isn't healthy for us. Such as eggs or meats. Fruit juices contain sugar in some cases so they'd have to tax that too....what about cereal?
So I can't support a tax that would screw many people that live on food stamps. Sugar is not the villain here, lazy people that want to have sugar but not exercise are. I like sugar but I also know that i have to exercise daily if I don't want to become overweight. I am slightly overweight as it is but I'm exercising daily and eating properly...but I still have sugar. |
