Topic: Stranger accused of slapping crying child at store | |

Theres all this talk of Obama turning kids into zombies by appearing on T.V. (oh noes!) so maybe it was a zombie baby?

where did we get the idea that children are to be "controlled"? guided with discipline and love...led in the right direction, yes. taught. children are people, too, and they have a right to their own emotions. just because we don't agree with them, that doesn't give US the right to squash them. exactly. as adults...we have the right to walk away and even complain but not to threaten or assault. if that were true...there are adults in the stores these days that would need to get smacked. adults should know better |

According to the article...the child didn't become unruly (screaming) until after the jerk smacked her. there isn't enough of the article to know if the mother had the option to leave the child with someone when she went out shopping. I was a single mom and had to take my son to get medicines when he was sick because I didn't have a baby sitter. 2 yr olds cry....some throw awful tantrums. That's the mom that I was too. |

i must say the man was wrong totally wrong and should be charged and tried now that said the mother should also have the child under control if the child was crying because she was sick (the child should not be in public) if the child was having a tantrum the child should have been removed from the store (and disciplined by the parent) the parents of children should be held accountable for the unruly and loud behavior of their children if i go to a restaurant i purposely avoid where th little kids are and if they come in and sit near me and act up i let the wait staff know to give my bill to the parent of the acting up cjild forr ruining my dining out experience yes the man was wrong but children in public need to be under control that is one reason i ry to go in the middle of the night no or few kids Control a crying 2 yr. old? How about comforting a crying 2 yr. old? "if the child was crying because she was sick (the child should not be in public)" Unfortunately that is not the real world. I have had to take my sick child out of the house to pick up a prescription. I didn't want to do that to my child but I had no choice. |

I'd have my son go whack the kid then it's a kid whacking a kid. then they get ya for inciting riot and the brat kid and bad mother get nothing Bad mother because the child was crying?! Brat kid because a 2 year old was crying?! |

Brat kid because a 2 year old was crying?! yes a bad mother for ignoring the baby and doing nothing to comfort the child to get her to stop crying if the mother was doing what she should have been doing then the jerk could not have gotten to the childs face to slap her so yes bad mother for not addressing the situation |

What if it was happening when she had the money in her hand and was paying the cashier and was getting ready to fly out of the store? |

what if the kid bit the guy in the leg first
what if what if |

what if the kid bit the guy in the leg first what if what if I don't care if the kid bit the guy in the leg. The man should never of laid a hand on that child. A cry 2 yr. old does not equal a brat!! It does not equal a bad mother either! |

whatever

lok...I don't care if the child was crying because she was sick, hurt or the spawn of satin....the point is no adult should hit someone's child!!!!!!!! I don't even care if the child bit him first. she's was 2 and smaller than the adult.

if the kid was sick then she should not have it out
and read my other post i said he should not of hit her point is if she was being a good mother he could not have gotten to her to hit her if she was holding the child rather than just letting her sit there then he could not have hit her and if she was concerned about others she would have tried to comfort the child or remove the child from the store parents should be held accountable for the actions of their children age is no excuse to be disruptive |

I've had to take my child out to get meds because I didn't have a sitter before. even if the child threw a tantrum and the mom didn't do anything....the mom will have to deal with it sooner or later when the kid gets out of control. but walmart is not a place I would go to relax or anything. children are allowed in walmart. hell there are adults that act worse than a crying 2 yr old but I don't tell them to straighten up or tell who they are with to get a hold of them and make them behave or even slap them. I just roll my eyes and continue about my business
