Actually he looks more like Al Bundy off the old sitcom "Married with Children"bigsmile

I downloaded his photo. He's a happy looking mofo. Aint he? I want to dump green paint over his head. Think about it......wait for it......then he would look exactly like oscar the grouch from sesame street! Ha ha ha!

I was thinkin more along the lines of Anthony "the nose" Rigotelli:laughing:

It started off innocently enough when he got a clapper for his living room lamp. Then slowly over time the power over the light switch went to his head. Pretty soon he was slapping his ex wife, his freinds, his neighbors, his family, and then.....strangers babies.

I've done the "Southern Living" thing. Too damn hot for me. We've had 3 days of 90 or above this summer, and that suits me just fine. Last night, it got down to 48 here. Had the window open for the last 3 days, and didn't even need a blanket. laugh

A 2yr old coulda been cryin for a variety of reasons. One of which is pain. The mother might have been in there gettin medication for the child an was pickin up a few other things as well. U don't wanna hear the child cryin, leave.

Been there, done that.

There's nothing sadder then your child crying when they're sick. I remember those ear infections.

A-freaking-men.

or you could have a child like mine...severe sensory issues. take a kid with sensory integration dysfunction who happens to be two into a place like walmart, and they can't help but cry. they can't shut out the background...

and you can't just leave them home. sorry, they have to be exposed to life...and we don't always have back-up, and we do need to buy groceries, meds, and whatnot.

i will say that he would have never managed more than one strike on my child, if even that.

Shock that someone had the audacity to actually do that probably froze her for a second. I'm sure it didn't take her long to react. I would like to know what her exact reaction was. I would have hit him.

shock's not good enough. he had already threatened to hit the kid and was on the way over. he'd have had to do some pretty serious manhandling to get me out of the way.

then there'd be charges for assaulting two people, not just the kid.

I can not lie and say I have never thought to myself something along the lines of "if that were my child"...

However, the fact is it isn't my child, and I would NEVER consider hitting another persons child for ANY reason. Yes I believe in spanking a child when necessary, but not if it aint your own child. You do that to my child, and I WILL practice new interrogation techniques on your body.

i haven't. ever.

i've thought..."wow, that poor kiddo is too tired/overwhelmed/hungry...i wish their parent would give them the sleep/quiet/food/attention they need...

i can't even imagine thinking of striking a child, mine or anyone else's.

I agree that the man had absolutely no right to do what he did, the child could have been crying just to cry. There isn't always a reason behind, sometimes it is just to annoy the parent.

the kid was two. at two, they probably aren't thinking..."let's see, if i cry i can piss mom off." they're thinking..."wow, i don't know that person. i'm exhausted...who are all these strange people? why is he looking at me? why can't we leave...ooh, shiny, can i have it?"

I think people are UBER sensitive about touching children these days. My folks would have found a way to quiet me as well. Times have changed but I think in this situation it was wrong because it was a stranger who disciplined the child wihout consent from the parent.

Wow!!!! So many people would kick this guys ***(me include). How many of us feel the same way about terrorists that have killed thousands of Americans?
