So I bought a set of cards today. They are called Grace Cards by Cheryl Richardson and I purchased them because the art work is so beautiful and I wanted something to use besides my traditional Tarot cards.
After reading through them all I decided to try them out. I thought about the situation most on my mind lately which is how angry I am at my ex-husband. He has put me through hell the last 10 years and hurt me repeatedly even after I left him. However, I have rebuilt my life, become a stronger and more courageous person and a better mother through this whole process. So when I pulled a card I anticipated getting a card like "strength". I was very surprised when I pulled this: Partnership. "God speaks to us through people. We are ambassadors of grace for one another." The front picture is of a man and a woman in a tender embrace. At first I was thinking these were defective cards! No way was that now or would it ever be the situation with my ex. And then it hit me. I have become a better person BECAUSE of my ex. And, I am his opportunity to become a better person as well. It is only through trials and tribulations that we truly grow. Yes, those people in our lives who love us unconditionally are important. But, its the difficult people and the difficult situations that make or break us. And if you survive and become the better person then you have the person who created that painful situation to thank. A hard concept to accept when someone has hurt you terribly. But, obviously the lesson I needed to learn today. |

A lot of them are nice. I like this Illumination one. It bring into my imagination the gate of a huge Labyrinth Garden that covers an immense mystical forest where all the Gods and Goddess aren't mere statues but are actually live deities to meet with and interact with. I love the concept of living in a storybook forest. I've always wanted to turn my estate into such a magical world. I live in a forest on ten acers of land in a small cottage. I've made some attempts to create a really magical place here in the past, and at some points throughout my life I had actually succeeded to a point. Unfortunately things have deteriorated since those days and now it's just a run down joint.  I still dream about it in my imagination, but it's hard to bring it into physical manifestation living alone with very limited financial resources and failing health. I suppose I should go out an buy a lottery ticket. Who knows? Maybe a miracle could happen? I mean, I hate to reduce the whole thing to money, but sometimes if that's what the dream requires there isn't much else that can be done. |

Really nice cards they are. They give a sense of relaxation and allows one to imagine in great detail when looking at them.
James write many great books and have them published with lulu.com or createspace.com. There you can sell alot of copies and use the money to make a magical world at your estate. If you don't want to selfpublish one can do it the traditional way, but that is very difficult to do in today's society where only 2% of unknown authors ever get published each year. Publishing companies do not like to take risks anymore and would rather invest their money with authors who have sold many copies before. But self-publishing can be very beneficial if you have the time to advertise. Actually I can help you if you get that far if you like. What are friends for right besides a few laughs once in awhile.

Ultimately it really comes down to lack of desire and intent on my part I guess. I only really need to write one book and that book would probably make me a millionaire overnight. It's not a fantasy book though, it's a book on mathematics. Why I'm not writing it I really don't know. I guess deep down inside I don't want to be rich. |

And I am seeing some one so I appreciate the thought, but I don't think it is appropriate. Oh, my deepest apologies. I never meant it in any personal way like that. In my mind I was actually imagining a medieval bard asking a totally ficticious witch named Lily Petal (yes sparked from your screen name), to help him communicate with the Goddess so that he could be blessed with the inspiration to write a song for a pretty damsel that he would like to impress. Even in the song it doesn't really imply that the bard is hitting on Lily Petal. He's just asking her to ask the Goddess to help him out. It's was entirely meant as a play on an abstract fantasy ideology. I was just playing off your screen name. I thought you might enjoy it. So please accept my most sincere apologies. I never meant anything personal by it. I was just having fun playing the playful forum bard. Sorry, if that came over the wrong way. |

We are all rich in actuality. We are rich on personality, characteristics, and knowledge on spiritualism to name a few.
I think if one desires something they can have it. It is a matter of wanting it. I do hope that everyone who visits this thread gets all the things they desire. Most of all I wish for much happiness, good health, and peace each and everyday.

Don't mind James Lily Petal! He is a ministrel, a bard of many songs, and a entertainer if he wants to be. I am glad he visits here to make the common room more interesting.

why don't you want to be rich Abra? In all truthfulness I think I'm suffering from a very deep guilt complex. And the strangest thing of all is that I very sincerely believe that I'm feeling guilty for things that are totally out of my control. Like for the simple reason that life is cruel and people die. Why should I feel guilty about that? I don't know. But for some reason I do. Smiless once said that he will be the last person in heaven, because he refuses to go until everyone else has entered. I think in a similar way, I refuse to be happy until everyone else is happy first. So that places me in a pretty bad way doesn't it? |
