Now Don....Katz has a valid question there....some men 50 + might still want sex, but can't do it..for whatever reason there is....I know it's frustrating for both them and the woman.

seems to me that sex over fifty has but one purpose. fun play time.
doubtful sex will produce offspring at our age, impossible in my case, and i can exchange views and ideas with my buddies whether or not they are male or female. i can have fun with my pals doing all kinds of activities but if i want to have fun in bed only a woman will do. yep, after working through the decades providing for others i'm up for plenty of fun doing all sorts of activities. and sex is still reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllll fun with a like minded lady.

Sex at our age is to share, enjoy each other, and get closer and bond. Playtime is the sandbox over on the island.

There's nothing wrong with sex over 50. Just as long as the top's down if you're driving a convertible.

OK, let's really discuss this. Both men & women can have problems, as they advance in age. Poor nutrition, drugs taken for various problems that go with aging & effects from how we have lived our lives; can/does have serious effects on our sex lives. But isn't sex more mental, than physical?? Isn't the companionship, body contact, touching, fore play, etc; more what is sought; than just the sexual act?? An occassional quicky can be enjoyable, but personally I like to take my time & really enjoy much more than just the "sex". Play time, IF done right, is the most ENJOYABLE part of "sex", for me. I think there is a message from our maker, in the fact that most ladies can have multiple reactions, while men need time to "reload", shall we say. Could be the message is, that there is SUPPOSED to be "playtime" there & where the focus is supposed to be??
Now another factor come into this. In "my opinion" waht happens between 2 people, is NOBODY elses business. Don't advertise & don't judge. I would never be intimate with anyone I didn't respect & have a special level of friendship with. Do we have to be married, NO. Do I want an "exclusive relationship", maybe time will tell.

I like what you have said Don. Intimacy is all encompassing. When it is all there, there is no need to go looking all the time. In a nutritional point of view..when your body is getting the right nutrition it responds by not needing empty calories..in my opinion.
