Topic: Do men ask women on dates anymore?

pfft, id prefer to be alone, if a guy cant man up, im not going to desperately ask him anything. It means nothing if he isnt strong enough to approach me.

So you would consider yourself " desperate " if you were to consider approaching a guy??

What about a guy who isn't particularly out " cruising "?? He hasn't been paying that much attention, and he hasn't approached you.

You'd totally pass that guy over, even if you thought he was handsome and all that, just because HE hasn't walked up first???

"Cruising"? Isn't that another way of saying "out for sex"? Do men only approach women if they're horny?

" Cruising " is, to me, simply out actively looking for someone. For sex or whatever.

Yeah, all so complicated to take a woman out. Please.

No. it's not complicated at all.

But, as has been said before, guys get tired of being the ones to get rejected and just give up.

well i spose the race will just die off then, because I get tired of men who look at, and, enter relationships with baggage.

It isn't " baggage ". It's tired of being forced into a position to have to deal with bulls**t from women who are either rude or classless or both.

it has nothing to do with " baggage ".

well ya dont think we dont end up with jerky men?

I wouldn't consider it "passing him up". More, doing him a favor. If he doesn't want to talk to me, obviously he's not interested in talking to me, so why should I force him to?

ETA: Ah, our definitions are different then. Gotta love the language barrier between men and women! slaphead

At my age, EVERYONE has baggage. The ide is to use it to one's benefit, not detrement.

nope, i dont enter with baggage.. i work on myself and am very careful with how i enter.

We just all need to try to set the baggage down at the door...
We own it, but check it curbside if at all possible!

totally.

Then that could potentially be your loss. Especially if you think that a guy isn't " strong " just because he hasn't walked up to you.

But, it's a choice you make.

Baggage can be good. Like, I learned never to date a man who does drugs. From experience. Now I know what to look for -- the signs to tell -- and that's because of my baggage.

Never said you didn't.

As a matter of fact, I would be willing to bet that women have to deal with more jerks than males have to deal with the female counterpart.

But then again, the only jerks you have to deal with are the ones who are " strong " enough to approach you??

Think there could be a possible correlation in there somewhere???

Yes thats part of it, strength, if I want someone with the same exact strengths, id be with a woman. If hes too wussy to handle it, good luck dude.

Doing him a favor??

Ever think that if he isn't, on that particular night, actively seeking someone, that you might be " doing him a favor " by walking up and saying hello???

baggage would be accusing every new man you meet of using drugs.

Nope. Cuz he'd give me SOME sign that he wants to talk to me. Like maybe look at me or something. I mean, if a guy's totally ignoring ya, then it's pretty obvious he doesn't wanna talk to ya.

Smart enough for you, Billy?

Where, exactly, did this deviate into a " strength versus weakness " thing??

Because a dude isn't actively seeking someone on any given night makes him weak???

That would be using that baggage as a detrement instead of a strength. We all have it, but if we don't learn from it we're doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again.
