Topic: Understanding different races

When we can embrace that we are all humans with the same needs then we can create true peace and harmony throughout the planet. Until then we shall continue to watch the many disagreements, bigotry, superstitions, differences, racism, intolerance, dangerous egos, and other petty reasons for keeping a planet unstable.

I have seen too many cultures clash because of different national prides, color, race, and idealogies in my profession. If the human ego doesn't disappear then we shall never see peace.

It is sad to study in history and it is sad to watch on the news, and it is even worse to experience in reality.

Such an idealogy that I dream for will probably remain nothing more then a dream, yet I preach the impossible regardless if many can't grasp it as a possiblity. Then I shall just remain as a idealist that keeps dreaming the impossible.

Sorry to have killed your thread. I am sure you will find many people who will tell you stories of how they personally have met and got along with many nationalities and races. Have fun with it and I hope you learn something unique from itdrinker

Yes, I agree...

WE must appreciate and embrace the DIFFERENCES that make up people...to embrace them and respect the differences is the idealistic view that I strive for...that I dream of...

There are many differences among people...that enables me to learn, to respect, to embrace those differences in human beings...

we may all have the same needs, yet many people are at different levels of those needs...and THAT must be respected to grow as 'one' in the Universe...

true peace and harmony can and WILL be achieved...I believe that as well...

I do believe that to respect the differences in cultures, colors, and needs will result in One Love...

People may need the same thing, yet, not at the same time...a person must go where that person is to start the growth process...and that is different in different cultures and colors...

we do not need to be the same in order to respect each other...

JMO...

sorry Dan for getting off topic....

I love this woman, she is so wise...................I love you too Dan

Races and nationalities? I don't understand. What is that?

I only know individuals of various minds that each show much promise if you present kindness and love. flowerforyou

So everyone is an individual? Are you denying culture?

Damned right everyone is an individual.....

cool has no use for borders or the lives of those who came before us.....niether does dork or A-hole.

i am what i like to call myself.. cultureless. too many at one time created a situation in my life that i cannot identify with just one.

some say multicultural but that makes me feel like a giant festival LOL

my mother is mexican ... so that beautifully religious culture was in my life from the start. including the brujas.

my father was iranian. after he died my mother kept up the tradition of cooking iranian food and taking me to festivals and celebrating new years which is the first day of spring. if you can be a part of this.. DO IT! its beautiful

my best friend back in the day was heavily southern mixed half white half black. her mother was white her grandmother was black and i swear to god i loved her house. before you knew it.. i had an accent. :D

my half sister's are cuban. you may think this falls in line with mexican. IT DOESN'T!! the cuban culture is completely different. even though it is just as rich and beautiful as any other.

i've had a super diverse life.

the list can go on and on...

but i think my diversity also wraps around the fact that i love love love food. :)

As noticed in this thread, we may all be getting along better than newspapers and magazines would like for us to realize.
Racial conflicts increase their sales!
There are also those who derive power from racial conflicts.
GROUP HUG!

I have many Jewish friends (not Israeli, but Jewish heritage) also black friends, American Indians, as well as I've met Indian from India, hispanic, orientals, French, German, English, Australian, Canadian, Alaskan, Hawaiian and yes...even a few from Alabama! LMAO!!!

I really wish we ALL could and would work on making racism and treating others with indifference something that ceases to exist in our vocabulary! Man! That would be SO awesome! Don't think I'll see it in this lifetime, though. :(

Thanks again!
