What a lot of people don't realize is that sex is not required to have a relationship. Maybe those people will learn one day. Personality, honesty, chivalry, and a sense of humor can go so much farther than that. True, but everyone has their own preference and opinion. Me, a month at least is all I ask and because I can't find someone willing to do that .. I have been single for about a year now. A month, is that all.  Really not too much to ask.
Yes, a month a freaking month and that's apparently too much to ask. I swear, things have changed so much while I wasted a year and a half with my ex. Un-freaking believable. ( end of rant ) I'd give ya a month

Before I start, I totaly don't want to offend any young people by saying you all sleep around- I don't believe in genrlising people like that. It's just so many of my peers sleep around and seem to have no thoughts on waiting to get to know a guy first. Am i odd for not wanting to do the same?? I've always tried to get to know guys but it seems i only ever attract the guys after one thing- they tire of my 'old fashioned' 'boring' ways then leave for girls who will sleep with them after five minutes! I've been single for a year now! And i'm getting tired of always being called miserable and boring too. :( Any thoughts? XLJX The only thought I have is this. get used to it for a while. Guys yer age ( for the most part ) are looking for nothing but the next sexual conquest. The level of maturity you have in wanting to wait, far exceeds the guys' ( for the most part ). |

Nothing wrong with waiting or being selective. Lots of men and women, of all ages, are the same way. And a lot aren't. There's nothing wrong with that either if they're safe about it. Just means they're looking for something else. If a man isn't willing to wait, I'd bet he doesn't have feelings for you, but rather a completely physical attraction. Nothing more, nothing less.

I totally respect your point. Believe it or not, I'm the kind of guy who is looking for a great girl who isn't all about having sex right away or all the time. Hang in there and you'll find a great guy!

I think the problem with women is that they are physically attracted to the kind of men that would just want to sleep around. The genuine guys aren't sexy enough or mysterious enough looking. Women, like men in a lot of ways, want to have their cake and eat it, too...the macho guy with the sweet side who doesn't want to have quick sex.

I think the problem with women is that they are physically attracted to the kind of men that would just want to sleep around. The genuine guys aren't sexy enough or mysterious enough looking. Women, like men in a lot of ways, want to have their cake and eat it, too...the macho guy with the sweet side who doesn't want to have quick sex. Probably a bit of truth to that. I wonder if the "sexy enough" men are used to getting sex when they want it with nearly whomever they want, and that's why they expect it. Yet the "genuine" guys who aren't "sexy enough" don't have the experience and ability, so they've learned to seek out other things in a woman and for lack of a better term, take what they can get. |
