paranoid ?...hardly...right ?...absolutely ! Your opinion, but I will say when I first started to read your comments it seemed so crazy I thought you were being facetious. And as for being right, not even close. |

I guess...on this board...it will always be...anything and everything goes...no standards...all like minded thinkers...I see most of the regulars are gone...let me put it like this...you can do anything you want...but...don't involve me... Nobody want's to involve you, they just want you to stay out of their business. I don't want anything to do with it...afterall...it's still illegal...in 45 states... Wrong again, gay marriage is only illegal in a handful of states (don't feel like looking up the number right now), in most states gay marriage is simply not recognized no determination has yet been made. like I've said before...in time...EVERYONE...will be able to marry anyone and anything...they want...no standards...anything and everything goes...hopefully I'll be long gone by then...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...for the 50's... And I thank god the 50's are gone. As for the bit about standards many hetero-couples have done much damage by not taking it seriously, doesn't seem to bother you much. Never met a married gay couple (yes I do know a few of them from other states as well as two who got married here in CA) who didn't take their marriage VERY seriously. |

And whats wrong with a gay couple either two men or two lesbian lovers who opt to adopt an unwanted child in foster care? Now what could possibility be the problem there?

I think the reason that the definition of marriage is between a man and a women...without it clearly defined...not only will men be able to marry men...but...whos to say that men won't be able to marry a dog...or a cat...or have three wives...it's not so much anti gay...as it is...just well defined...and rightly so... This is about adult couples wanting to marry, not about animals that can not consent to marriage, forget that it's a silly argument. I can't believe anyone is thinking in these terms even today. I am saddened by this action, but not angry or depressed about it. What's also sad is that anyone would take such delight in this decision, as you do Thomas. |

for me it is not natural...what i'm pointing out is the definition of marriage...not the act...like I've said before...in time it will be legal in all 50 states... I just don't see why it matters so much. No one is trying to force you or others to marry the same sex. It should not be an issue at all. in all honesty...I think it takes time...for lots of people to except that behavior...the thought of two men...yuck !!...and...double yuck !!...my biggest fear...is once it becomes legal and excepted...that lifestyle...will be openly taught and discussed...in our schools...right ?... Growing up is so painful for some folks. |

Gio...I still don't understand how it would effect you though. there are gay couples now. just not legally married. in Texas we have common law marriage...which really isn't any different than a couple Your dealing with the antiquated, he's never gonna get it... |

i can assure u being married to a man myself (ofcourse not living in a country with backward laws) it aint no big deal.
oh and it gets taught in our schools with no ill effect. i do have to say tho that all the years i was taught about hetero lifestyle never made me straight. u CAN'T make someone be what they are not. |

Gio...I still don't understand how it would effect you though. there are gay couples now. just not legally married. in Texas we have common law marriage...which really isn't any different than a couple Rose...I was brought up in a strict Catholic family...while you are focusing on the couple...I am focusing on the behavior...which I and many many Americans find abnormal...so...If I belive that behavior is wrong...then why would I want to sanction that behavior by making it legal... That cracks me up. I grew up in a strick catholic family, and went to catholic schools. There are tons of gays in the catholic church. I don't think my own mother ever got over having gays in her own family and had her very own. I don't know any uptight catholics like you Gio. |

You've said in the past that you are against gay marriage because it's unnatural. It has nothing to do with being able to marry a pet or have more than one wife. We're talking about marriage between two people. It should be the same for everyone. Not that long ago it was considered unnatural for blacks and whites to get married. |
