...and what exactly does thinking outside of the box mean to you? Your box, what you are comfortable with in your life, be it healthy for ya or not. At work the box is doing what everyone else who does what you do, outside the box is possibly trying to improve the process and introducing that to your boss. Does that help? |

To me it means to be creative, innovative and not follow convention...
yes people still think outside of the box ... well the ones who pull their heads out of the plug-in drug long enough to have original thought do anyways |

Does anyone think outside of the box any longer... I like to think I do, and I've seen trace evidence of a few other people doing it, too, although I might be misconstruing the data. For the most part, thinking outside the box has gone the way of the noble stegosaurus. ...and what exactly does thinking outside of the box mean to you? To me, it means living the life one wishes to live, not the life that everyone else wants you to live, not the life that depends entirely on tradition and inertia to proliferate itself, generation after generation, ad infinitum, to the end of time. In order to live and think outside the box, one must have the capacity to understand and question what's INSIDE the box -- and learn to ignore it, even to denounce it, if and when it becomes too stifling and restrictive to allow one to breathe freely.... |

Thinking outside the box is being resourceful and coming up with solutions rather than being part of the problem....constantly in stealth mode and popping up when that solution is effective and you blow the commoners away! Shyeah Baby!

...and what exactly does thinking outside of the box mean to you? Heck yeah, people think outside the box all the time. To me, it means doing things other than the norm, not following the "Sheeple" in their "follow me" mentality. Making your own way, without being afraid of being different. Do I "think outside the box" every day? No, but I try to as much s possible. |

Other than the fact that I cringe when I use the expression (it's become a little cliche' but still is appropriate, IMO) I think it's somebody who's willing to be creative and take a chance. Just ask...
WHAT IF? |
