So the laws of attraction doesn't have anything to do with what we may have used to have called the sixth and seventh senses? I mean most would agree that we once had a sixth sense for survival purposes, but most will roll their eyes when you mention that seventh sense of how we can see positive and negative vibrations to determine how to react and deal with future situations to create the day you want. Something that sounds similiar to the Laws of Attraction doesn't it.

If anything if the laws of attraction helps individuals live a positive life then go for it. There is nothing worse then watching depressed people all around you with bad attitudes

For me there are a great amount of books to read on "emotional intelligence". You will see some similiarities on how you can hone your mind to create better days. How to deal with stress effectively when confronted and how to make things happen to your favor at the same time.


If you get a chance order some books and tell me what you learned from them. I would be interested

Sal, I understand trust me. I have spent many many many hours meditating. I was very much a full bore Buddhist for over 2 years, I understand your posts, (science guides reasoning) I think you fail to appreciate how modern civilization can use both techniques and understand the root of why things can be effective. This believe and make it so idea is a problem, its a problem becuase its testable. We can map brain function, we can map thoughts. We can tell what you think when, and now if what you think can change reality, then we can test that and know with certainty that you did not have any exterior or negative thoughts.

Trust me, this should thrill people like JB, but instead excuses, instead the rules change.

For your demons to hear you, they would need ears, which need atmosphere to operate.

Each part of reality is an actual thing, playing pretend and imagining something doesn't make it real.

If demons can manifest any effect, then it can be studied. If other planes of existence really exist and manifest any effect, then they can be studied.

If demons can "hear" you speak, but not "think" then that effect would have a distinction in reality . . unless of course its just made up and only in your mind.

see that's the problem, imagination without testing is not worth belief.

I can imagine many many things. I have quite a good imagination. I enjoy fantasy and sci fi, but when you train to be a scientists you learn things, and I am not talking about facts.

I am talking about methods. The ONLY way to know something is through processes of gathering information using imagination, then testing.

This is everything, even in Buddhism is was this way. I have respect for Buddhism, it was like a science of the mind.

I think psychologists would do well to take a few courses on it before going into phych.

It seems the answers to many of the questions philosophers have been asking for thousands of years are either well hidden, not applicable, or not true.

In any case it is a debate that can go on for a lifetime with no resolution.

The only thing close to a resolution would be in what you personally believe to be true that a few others will perhaps join you to agree on.

That is as close as we can get to some of the mysterious things we imagine or for some believe in.

One day i cassually said to my mother, " I'm so affraid of spiders."

The next morning there was a brown recluse in my dreams and when I woke to my daughter crying. there was one in her bed. For the next week I found spiders all around the house. And it must have been spider "week" 'cause most of the shows featured the little bastards.

I truelly believe that there is a malevolent force in the world that feeds of of fear and hate. I don't know how or where they exist. I just --feel-- that they do.

Knowing and understanding the law is the first step. Putting it into practice, (like learning to oil paint and create a beautiful pictures) takes time, practice and dedication.

It is an exciting process.

Most of my life has been spent developing the skill to paint and draw. When I started, I knew nothing about it except that I had a burning desire to do it. I had no natural 'talent.' With my desire and belief that I too could do it, I persisted to learn and practice.

People tell me I have 'talent.' No I don't. Painting is a skill the same as reading and writing.

But just because you can write, does not mean you can become a best selling author or even get published. THAT takes dedication and HEART.

Just because you can play a musical instrument doesn't mean you will make a hit record or create music that moves people's soul. That takes HEART!

Just because you are skilled at painting a picture, that doesn't mean you can paint one that moves people's emotions or inspires them in some way.

To be successfully creative you first have to develop the skill, then you put your heart and soul into it.

This is THE CREATIVE PROCESS.

The Law of Attraction is the law of creativity. It takes skill and it takes dedication and then it takes HEART. It takes FEELING, DEDICATION AND DESIRE to use it to create what you want instead of what you don't want.

It is a learning process. One does not become a brain surgeon by reading a book for two weeks. One does not become a tarot card reader by reading a book once. One does not become an artist by reading books, going to school, or even by learning to paint.

It takes feeling, passion, desire, and heart.
