Your the one arguing! I stated a fact and you've been denying it ever since! Denying what?! I say that I live in a low crime area and you're arguing me about it?! You live in a small city! Charlotte and Raleigh are much bigger! It doesnt take 45 min to drive across either of those on the highway! Driving City streets is a different story, but you said highway! I'll post an article telling which neighborhoods have the worst violent crime if you want. LMAO. It takes me as long as I said to drive that distance. I saw the neighborhood map. You educate your children in the proper use and safety of firearms at an early age.
If you do that then you dont need a lock! Bad Math! A person breaking into your home does not (99 out of 100) have a blueprint or even realize if your home or where in the house you are. Plus its dark to them just as it is to you. Advantage-homeowner! If someone is breaking into your home with the knowledge that you are home, you had better have a gun because this kind of criminal has balls and is most likely to be the most violent of all criminals. |

You know what? You don't. Unless you sleep with a gun and that is stupid. I did that as well. I felt like I had too. He was a very dangerous man. It is a wonder I didn't shoot myself in those days. In my sleep. If someone breaks in and wakes you...chances are..you are not going to wake up in time to find your gun and shoot an intruder.Not in your room that is. By the time you wake up and focus and by the time you do all that.....and if it is under lock and key...well...you do the math. Rose...if you want a gun in your house..that is of course your deal. Go for it. I know that it much more probable that a gun pointing at you by an intruder will not give you time to enterject. But, go ahead and try. Most bad people coming into your home are quiet. You don't know they are there til they are.
I don't have a problem with someone wanting to protect them selves...go ahead. It is good to do so. But...for every one of those responsible gun owners there must be at least 50 that aren't. What I am saying is that there are people out there that we all think are law abiding and upstanding citizens that can in a moments notice be the very one that kills you. Be afraid of him or her. Although shes most likely going to cut you and he will shoot you. I am not fooling myself with my bat and knife. I forget my knife is there most times. But my bat...I know it is there every night. My conscience wouldn't allow me to kill someone anymore. I couldn't live with it. Unless they came after my kids or my mom...my family. They better kill me then. Because a courtroom isn't going to save them. My dogs are loud with unfamiliar noises and strangers. They will tear your ankels up. Kat |
