Topic: Guns don't kill, but absence of guns does

Somebody shot a gun on New Year's Eve. I don't think it was on my block. I was outside and didn't hear a gun. The bullet landed on my roof and I got a roof leak from it. That was a $500 deductible for the insurance to get it fixed. It was probably too far away to hear. That's some pretty bad luck there... People don't think when you shoot a gun in the air that the bullet must come down somewhere. It doesn't usually drop fast enough to kill someone, but at terminal velocity it can still cause damage... Ha! You don't know the worst part of it. It was a new roof!! And it leaked onto my bed. Do you have any idea how far away it could have come from? My neighborhood is pretty good about not firing guns on New Year's Eve. WOW, that sucks... It's hard to say. If you didnt hear the shot i would guess a mile, probably more. Wow, a whole mile. I didn't know that. I first noticed that the bed was wet and my child's dog almost got kicked out of the house. Then I felt the drip from the ceiling. I had no idea that it could have been a mile away.

sad if they try to do away with guns or tax them so high that people can't afford ammo when the cops are stretched too far and the bad guys can get them off the streets

I had no idea that it could have been a mile away. It's possible. If shot at the correct angle a .22 round can travel up to 1.5 miles (not accurately though). The bigger the round/higher the velocity, the farther it travels.

Some people act like they haven't even read the article. What does it have to do with children killing each other by accident? They are also doing it with cars, vacuums and window glass. Now what? Should we ban everything to keep the children of the people who can't get any sense into their kids from killing each other? Kids have no sense. That is the problem. Kat No, this is the solution. This is how the nature repairs the problem. It removes the genes of their parents from the gene pool. Don't interfere with the nature. I've been around guns since I can remember. And? Where is the tragedy? I knew my dad would rip me apart if I touch a gun in his absence. No problem. All the kids around me were like that too. No problem. Only one kid shot himself in the forehead, because he was looking in the barrel of a gun, (an idiot). Rule number one: don't point a gun at anything you're not intending to shot! Everyone knew it anyway, he wasn't normal. Better sooner than later. If he grew up, he would off somebody else, for sure, or even had kids. Now, I know you're just gonna go ahead and keep doing what you doing, and believing what you believing anyway. But, by "solving" this problem, you're creating even bigger problem. These stupid kids grow up, then they have kids, and so on. The defective genes propagate. Then you have an idiot who shoots several of his classmates because he is such a looser that he can not get laid. You surprised? Where do people like that came from? They are the result of "solving" the problem. Here I go. Stating "stupid" people deserve to die is a prejudice statement and not cool at all. Who gets to determine who is stupid? You? Me? Not cool. I think you got lost in his harsh wording. His point is that we have natural selection. Meaning, if you don't have the brains, the discipline, the wisdom, the strength, etc. to survive, you won't. This makes the next generation stronger. It is nature. Nature discrimminates. It is harsh, yes, but nevertheless this was his point. People will learn to behave responsibly. One way or another. If you remove the responsibility, you are dooming future generations. This is the cold, hard scientific fact. The trick is not to remove responsibility, but to educate and inform the masses. If people make mistakes after they knew better they must pay the consequence... But, on the flip side, a child can be overwhelmed with responsibility. But that child must learn it before he/she becomes an adult.

But that child must learn it before he/she becomes an adult. she didn't get lost in the wording, as the truth be true, but spoken thru hate anyone can feel the energy and hue, and any truth spoken thru hate simply destroy all life and confidence and love's fine hue. women are the detector's of all hate, the givers of life to all words, and are meant to detect the slightest ounce of it, so it is most to help a women trust herself in each detail, that guide the men, who take many truths, and but put them thru the self, and if self has any malice, or resentment, that is what the women is to point out???

Thanks, Drivinmenutz, that was my point, exactly. Why soften my words? Why dress the truth in a little bit of lie? Drivinmenutz got it exactly right. That is my view. That, and nothing more. To realize that nature must be allowed to act, is not the same as to act as a deputy of the nature, as Hitler tried. Because, humans do not have nor the right nor the wherewithal that is required to do so, and will never have. Therefore, I am NOT advocating actively going after anyone. Let them receive the fruits of their own actions. When Columbine happened, what did you say? When a postman loser goes off and kills several people, what do you think? When that Asian dude couldn't take his masturbation anymore and killed some of his classmates in Virginia, who did you blame? It was always someone else's fault? Nope. 1 - It was the fault of those who forced those idiots (killers) to survive in the first place. 2 - It was a huge fault of those who denied the victims their god given right to carry an armed weapon. This is what they have paid for with their lives. You should have blamed the policies that you promote. These things, these killings, are the result of your policies. You have to be adult enough to take the responsibility. But, most people won't. It is one thing to try and teach a child. Give him a message all day long if you have to. But leave him am action path. Don't lock him up in un-freedom of artificial, compulsory safety,- you're only building up a pressure.

Driven try to lead to peacful water's??? yes, that is Driven, a peaceful man and considerate man indeed, and wishing to be a leader, as he is and shall be a leader of a new era and dawn indeed, where hate is no more, and wise people's rise up and see it anyhwere it be, but Driven still did as well indeed pepetuate hate, not seeing in innocence, but still the same, hate and malice rear it's ugly head in the hue, in the energy that flow forth thru the airwaves even across the world, for in these days, hate shall come out of the woodwork, out of the trim, from under the bed, and whomsoever carry it, tucked into it's heart, hate shall find it, in the closet or where ever it be??? no games, can you not see, all the things that are listed as idiots???
