This is what i'm talking about. I diden't know thare were so many people who like guns as much as me. (probably even more). But those sniper rifles are a ***** in real war. (I woulden't know from experience but I can already tell). But besides guns does anybody like grenades, missles, bombs, tanks & nuclear warheads? Firepower is just infactuating to me! But want I really want to see is women who like these kind of things. Those kind of women seem scarce.

Ever think about joining the Marine corps???

Guns don't kill, people kill.. What's bad about them is "if" they're not stored properly then kids can get to them and kill themselves or someone else.. If stored properly, then it's doubtful that you'll get to it in time to help you anyway or a teenager can get to it and freak out and shoot up their shoot and fellow students...

I always had a weapon...hmm since i was like 6-7yrs old. It was a home made slingshot, and i knew it was powerful enough to cause serious injury and yet i have never aimed at any person.

fast forward to 1995, i learned to shoot from the 9mm to the standard NATO 5.56 M16A2 to the 40mm M203 grenade launcher and the M60 and M249 SAW... right now I only owe an English Long Bow replica and a Hun recurve bow and a .22 caliber rifle, which is a damn toy.

Take away the 2nd ammendent, I will start to make slingshots again.

I like anything that makes loud noises!bigsmile A few years ago a buddy came over on the 4th of July with a home made cannon (actually made at his shop). It was fairly small with only a 3/4" bore but that thing would make a piece of 5/8 x 1" all thread go deep into a tree and was plenty loud lol. Always wanted to make one but never have. Btw, did ya know that a 12 oz plastic coke bottle will take 140 psi and not blow up but a 1.75 litre plastic Canadial Mist bottle will not!? And man, it was loud too pitchfork

Ok, so nobody likes guns. What about video games. Especially for women. I never met any girl that ever plays video games. I think video games are great and whoever invented them should be given a nobel prize or a grammy or something.

I like both, does that make me special?

Owning a gun because hunting or shooting is a hobby or a trade is one thing, owning a gun just for the sake of it, is another. Quite unnecessary in my opinion.

But then i understand that i don't understand the gun culture in the US.

The guns dont kill people, people kill people argument is quite weak, i feel. Its quite difficult to kill somebody by accident with a knife or a baseball bat, for example. Yes you can own a gun and you can be responsible and no harm will come to anybody. But when half an entire population own guns, there will always be mistakes, and people will end up dead.

Quess we have to give up our cars and trucks too.laugh

I think these days, the right to own guns is vital. You never know when someone may break into your house with the intent to kill and steal. And America is not invincible to terrorists. You never know when some country may invade and attack. Should that happen, you may need to defend yourself, and probably a knife or baseball bat won't be much help. At least with a gun, you have a fighting chance. I have no intention of being taken captive by an American terrorist or an International one.

Forgive me, but i think you are a little paranoid. The US has been attacked twice in the last 60 odd years, Pearl Harbour and 9/11. The chance that you will be required to fight off international terrorists is about the same as my head exploding in the next 30 seconds.

*SPLAT*

Maybe that is why we have only been attacked twice!!!!

Blades are great Fear....me and my father make them as a side line gig...

Pistols aren't so much my bag but, a tricked out Dirty Harry special sure is fun to shoot!

The real thumper is the .54 cal flintlock...the damned thing is a cannon.

Pacifism is nice...yet, the practical reality of any society...the people who are in charge are the ones with the guns. Let's face it...to negotiate swiftly, efficiently and effectively...it helps to have the right methods of persuasion...

Nah, we've only been attacked twice because we have the technology and intel to detect most attacks long before they happen, in many cases while they're still in the planning stages. And we have more than enough military power to stop any sort of invasion long before it reaches our borders.

It's not paranoid to be prepared to defend yourself should the need ever arrive. Violent crimes happen in the best of neighborhoods, in the nicest of homes. I was attacked at knifepoint when I was in college, in a nice sleepy little town. I was also stalked for a long time back in the 80's, before anyone ever called it stalking, and the police said they could do nothing about it. I had to move and change jobs in the dark of night to escape the stalker. For a long time I looked over my shoulder to see if he had found me.

Being a victim is not something I want to be again. I carry a large protective dog, a stun gun and mace with me when I'm out and about. I plan to take a martial arts course soon too. There's absolutely nothing wrong in being prepared in whatever manner you're comfortable with.
